My mother & I visited this location today due to the fact that it is the closest planet fitness to our home. We are fairly new to the planet fitness gym and when we entered Sandy pretty much pointed out where everything was! We weren't walked throughout the building for a tour but once we started working out what we did notice was a Caucasian couple being shown around the entire building for a tour!? Seems pretty racist to me if you have an issue with people because of the color of their skin you Probably shouldn't work there! That was blatant racism shame on you Sandy my complaint won't stop here! Do better God is judging you also.

It's clean, inexpensive, not usually crowded, they have a large selection of machines, and free weights are are also available, but they are limited to light and moderate weights (dumb bells max out at 60 lbs for example). The staff are usually pretty friendly. They have some odd policies like a guest needs to bring ID everytime and then there is the whole "judgement free zone" notion that stands in stark contrast to the Lunk Alarm on the wall. I guess it is ok to judge as long as you do it their way.All in it is an ok place to workout, but despite their ads it is the most judgemental place I've ever worked out.

Been a member for a month now and I thoroughly enjoy it. Staff is nice, facility is clean, and they have plenty of machines and free weights. I like how they write out exactly how much you will be paying in total for your membership, nothing is hidden.

Going back to Macedonia. Staff is friendlier and place is much cleaner. A real shame since I am walking distance from this location.I would like to add a reply to your response below! Why should "I" reach out? This is "YOUR" facility, see it still never ends! I moved locations, not going back nor will I recommend this facility. I walked into Macedonia after being at Copley since its opening in late August 2018, soon as I walked into the door I was greeted by two employees asking me where I had been! The following day I was greeted by two completely different employees asking me where I had been. While there I noticed that two additional employees were vacuuming the workout areas and cleaning the locker rooms. Maybe its time "YOU" take charge of your non-performing locations!

I was visiting this location while on a company trip and had the worst experience I have ever had at a planet fitness. There were 2 young ladies that were working the counter in the evenings when I went, the first young lady was super nice. The first lady had darker shorter hair. The second lady had short blonde hair (dirty blonde hair) and it was in a lower pony tail both times I had seen her. This second lady was completely rude and judgemental of every guest that walked through the doors. She did not smile when greeting your guests and quite frankly, had a terrible attitude. I walked to the gym every day I was there, which was a 2.5 mile walk, I figured it was great cardio, and when I got to the gym, I just completed my weights and walked back. I did not notice the wall lockers the first day, so the second I had asked to buy a padlock for the lockers so I could put my personal belongings away, I did not ask how much it was because I needed it at the moment and did not care. I just asked "do y'all sell padlocks? and if so, I would like to buy one" her response was they are $6. I said that was fine and she repeated the price and asked if I could afford it and if I couldn't, the wall lockers were free to use. I opted to use the free lockers, because who doesn't like free. But I was highly offended at the assumption. I chose to ignore it in the moment because I just wanted to get my workout completed. At the end of my workout, I wanted to purchase some water for my walk back. I am a blackcard member and know how it works and knew the price. I got out my debit card and again, went to the counter after getting my stuff from the lockers and asked to purchase the water. She again, stated how much it was TWICE and asked if I could afford. I looked at her with a complete puzzled look on my face as to why this woman thought I couldn't afford any of your products? I told her yes, I can afford it and asked to please let me buy these items. So many issues with this, I work in customer service and this was not a great interaction and she needs some sensitivity training, and if your company does not offer it, it needs to. The manager needs to address this issue because I was not the only guest to this location that she was rude to, I watched her flat out ask a guest a leave as soon as he got there because he had reached his maximum visits to a location other than his own. He also looked confused and stated "what? I wasn't aware that was a rule" I was not either. She said you have reached your maximum visits, now I'm going to ask you again to leave my location. He said okay and left. She is not professional, and as the front desk clerk that she is, she is the face that people see, the person that sells your business, and should not be in this position if she is treating people this way. I visited this location July 29th-31st, all 3 days. I will be talking to my home location about the policy when I go in next to ask them about some of the "policies" that are apparently in place that I feel were wrong and see if theirs are the same. I go to 2 different gyms every month and visit both gyms more than 10 times per month and have never had this problem. I wish I could remember the girls name, but she needs to be reminded that her place of employment is a judgement free zone and she needs to be reminded of the expectations of the workplace. I feel so sorry that I even have to write this review, but it needs to be addressed. I do not allow this kind of thing to happen at my business and my team knows this. You have to give a 5 star customer service no matter where you work, its how you get repeat business and loyal customers.

Most employees are nice but Sandy is one of the RUDEST employees I’ve EVER come across. She constantly has an attitude and never smiles. The first couple times I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I thought she may be having a bad day. I smiled said please and thank you and she still gave me attitude after the 5th time of receiving her treating me like dirt I gave up. She makes me HATE going there. When I joined she was the one that did the paperwork and barely said anything. when she did it was short and go figure RUDE. She said “fill this out.” “Here’s this.” Speaking of the scan car and “stand here. I have to take a picture.” And didn’t tell me when to smile or when she was done so I awkwardly stood there until I saw her typing for 10+ seconds. She also didn’t even give me a tour, didn’t say ANYTHING about what there was and what I could do. She didn’t offer one either. When I was done signing all the papers she starting trying to sign other people in. It says “judgement free zone” but you constantly feel judged and belittled by one of their workers? AND they always have something wrong with the black card spa. Either they’re too hot, they’re all “full” (even when the doors are open.) or something else is wrong. My first two weeks I had a membership the spa was down FOUR TIMES. Ridiculous that I pay almost $25 to get exactly what the people who pay $10 get. The gym is clean and has a lot of space but honestly not worth the money. If anything just get the $10 membership the black card isn’t worth it for this location. Every other location I’ve loved. EVERYONE is nice and there’s spas are NEVER “down”

Wow! Been working out at this planet fitness for sometime now... all in all great staff. But one staff member, it is true what the reviews say, the one with the green hair! She is very rude and “snippy”(as one reviewer pointed out. I don’t know her name but she does have tattoos on her left arm. I’ve never believed in reviews on google. Usually like to see something first hand. But damn it, some of these reviews about this particular staff member are correct.

SOME of the staff is friendly. Sandy is very rude and so is the other “manager?” With the green hair. Never smile, never answer questions nicely. Extremely snippy. 2 of the employees that are great are the two young workers at the front desk that always seemTo be working together. I give it three stars only because the gym is super clean and those two kids at the front. The managers need to be friendlier.

I am genuinely not one to normally complain. I have never gone out of my way to write a bad review. With that being said, the customer service here is absolutely horrifying. The “managers” have the worst attitude problems and literally make me dread walking in the door every day. Like the other reviews said, the younger staff are super nice and welcoming but are unfortunately not always there when I am. However, Sandy the assistant manager, always is and WHAT A JOY THIS WOMAN IS :)!! She told me multiple times “there’s no tanning beds available”. Me, seeing all of the tanning room doors wide open and empty says “oh no problem, I don’t mind waiting, thanks” she snarled at me and mumbled something under her breath about how the beds were all dirty. Come to find out she is just upset that she must perform, wait for it, her JOB of cleaning the tanning beds because she didn’t scare me away like she did the past two days by rudely telling me there wouldn’t be any beds available. Or I’ve gotten the “are you even a member here” question multiple times by the manager with the colored hair. Not the best way to go about greeting a member that is there EVERY DAY. Something is obviously wrong with their system. When you walk in- it’s not “Hey! How are you doing today?” It’s a dirty look and at this point I’m surprised they don’t throw my keys back at me after they scan my card (okay that’s a stretch) but seriously the gym is dreadful enough without mean employees. I went to complain about Sandy and the other woman only to realize they ARE the management... super disappointing. To end on a positive note- this is the cleanest and most up to date PF in the area!! Tanning beds are nice and will actually get you a solid tan!! (If Sandy lets you)

I checked out Planet Fitness when they first opened and the place was pristine. New equipment, great staff, and a nice size facility. I decided to join planet fitness about 6 months later and it’s still just as nice. The staff are great and helpful. The facility is clean and they upkeep it well. I’ve heard rumors about other facilities not being kept up clean and such but there’s no question about the Copley facility. It’s nice here. I’ll stay here as long as prices remain reasonable compared to other fitness centers in the area. You can’t beat it.
