I am so happy with this gym. Clean, well equipped, nice people. The Kids Club is great, they take care of my son and he really enjoys beeing there. Really appreciate the work of all the staff in this gym.

There aren’t too many gym options in the outer-beltway area of Alexandria so when I was picking a gym I decided to take a look at One Life. This gym is huge with so many options - machines, tons to treadmills and ellipticals, two large room for classes, functional training area, free weights, plenty of squat racks and places to do deadlifts. I know I can get a good workout in. Facilities are clean and that is what is important to me. The on boarding process was easy.

This is my first experience with Onelife fitness and I'm actually pretty pleased and I've had memberships at Lifetime Fitness, Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, and a few others that aren't chains but having those as references i'll go into the pros and cons.Cons first though:This first thing I noticed which is usually a deal breaker for me is there isn't a pool. The staff has mentioned it had been a thought but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. The facility is clean but it's not immaculate and by no means state-of-the-art like a lifetime fitness. And there isn't a smoothie/nutrition bar inside which has been in every gym ive been a member of. They have good rates but have an enrollment fee. Enrollment fees always have bothered me... They have a deal right now where they waive a large portion of the fee, but having worked in gyms for nearly 10 years...Ive learned enrollment fees can always be waived and are just little ways of squeezing out a bit more from the customer. They also charge an annual fee.. It's only $32 but I think it's stupid... Just add it into the monthly rate. They don't have a Miltary rates either and they claim it's cause their prices are great... Which they are... But that's the point of a Military rate... To reduce the price a bit from standard prices to show support to the armed forces. They also aren't 24hrs.Equipment has pros and cons: they have a ton of cardio machines since which give lateral movement. They have some strength training machines, many of which are designed to have low pressure on joints. But there aren't very many hammer strength machines. There is also only one incline and one decline bench. They have bumper plates And a few squat racks along with separate deadlifting areas which frees up congestion. And although it doesn't matter to me now, the dumbels only go up to 100lbs, which would have been a deal breaker for me when I was 22 or so. So hardcore gym Bros, heads up.The pros:The staff is amazing. I didn't feel pressured at all... Which is a huge deal to me. They were all down-to-earth and straight forward with everything and didn't act pretentious like many of the staff in Lifetime Fitness or the spokes woman in Lexus commercials (calm down woman it's just a Toyota). They also have hard workers, constantly checking the locker rooms, towel dispensers out on the floor, and general duties keeping it clean. They do have a sauna which is a huge pro for me too. There is also a "functional fitness" area with turf with sleds you can push and pull. Functional fitness rooms from my experience are usually gimmicks but this one is actually pretty well done. They have a child's room... Don't know much about it other than that but if you have kids...there ya go.There is a cycling studio too, a general fitness room for classes and they have a Cinema room where you can watch movies and you get your cardio on.I've probably missed a couple things but overall it's your good typical gym with a few extras like the functional and Cinema areas. They have competitive prices despite the annual and enrollment fees, nice equipment, great location plenty of parking, and amazing staff. The huge killer here is that there isn't a pool. If it was out of 10... Id give it a 7... But since it's not and the staff there are so great, I gave it 4/5.I'll post a follow-up in about 6 months too.

I just signed up yesterday, but had to drop in and give these guys a review. Fanny, Juan, and John were absolutely fantastic. I had a great initial workout. The facility is massive! Equipment was well taken care of. The other front desk staff were on point as well. Looking forward to crushing more workouts and getting to know more of the staff.

I've been part of the Onelife family for several years starting in Burke and then Alexandria when I moved there.Alexandria Onelife - 2 level facility with plenty of exercise equipment for whatever you need to train. Peak time is usually around 6 and it gets very busy, which is typical for a gym, but you can always find something to do. Parking lot is very big. I go ~5 time per week. The place is always clean and the staff / trainers like Wilmer, Abigail, Juan, Isabella, and everyone there have always been nice and helpful. There are always fitness classes going on and the movie theatre inside always has great movies on. Awesome facility all around.

This gym is great with lots of new equipment. The staff is courteous knowledgeable and very professional. Carlin, one of the trainers, really helped whip me into shape. Not only is she knowledgeable on the muscles and target areas that you seek to fix, she is extremely supportive and motivational, which is exactly what I need. I highly recommend this gym  and Carlin!!

The gym is good over all. The staff is friendly and reliable. Parking is not an issue. I recently lost my wallet in there but and a trusted staff member found it and held it for me. More equipment will be a definite plus though. Overall a great experience.

I used to go to Gold's Gym before moving to this area. There is a clear difference between the two. I like how clean and well maintained the equipment is at OneLife. There never seems to be a shortage of employees who adhere to the needs of …

Place is great and not crowded. Very large and offers something for everyone. I've had a great experience with the staff and the equipment is well maintained and new. There is a movie theater gym, several studios, machines, bumper plate area, jungle gym for adults (what I call it), and more. It's worth the price and if you are thinking about looking at it I'd say stop in and check it out.

The old "Jungle's Gym" has been reborn for the better as Onelife Fitness. The owners have done an excellent job of updating the gym. The facilities are fantastic, the decor is pleasant, the temperature is well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful any time you need them. One thing I especially noticed was how much the trainers seem to care. I have been to many gyms, and the trainers here are providing quality advice as opposed to going through the motions. Prices are also very reasonable for the area, making it a great value!
