Great place..very open space..doesn't feel suffocation..breath free while working out...love the indoor track... equipment are great and variety..great swimming pool ..hot tub, steam room...sawna...so far best place to workout...more facilities and amenities available as desired..including tennis courts...Just beware, they have very sneaky agreements..there is no way for you to cancel, even with a penalty.. except maybe if you are a lawyer..although you might have an acceptable clause..they have their own ways to make you stick...great place though...will never sign an agreement with them, at least in this life..😁

I really enjoy this gym. It is spacious, has lots of amenities, not overly crowded, and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is how cold the locker room and gym floor are on cold days.

Overall great space and the equipment upgrades are continuing which is nice. Front desk staff are friendly and greet you by name. Sauna and steam room are good and usually not too crowded and while I don't use it, having a pool is a nice bonus too. Biggest issue, which I have been told they are addressing is etiquette by members and some staff in not cleaning up after their classes or being generally oblivious that it's not a private facility just for their group. That and the god awful dodecahedron iron plates that make deadlifting or any floor lift god awful is why they don't get a five but for the price, general space (abundant) and mostly available always parking (at least in the garage) you can do much worse in NoVa and hopefully the upgrades keep rolling in.Pros: good space for weightlifting (Olympic style), decent levels of equipment in recent upgrades to quality Rogue bars (still need a good deadlift bar and a few more power bars), 4 platforms and 4 squat racks means usually you can get a lower body day in. Dumbbells only up to 100# though but for most that's enough. They have good specialty bars too such as a safety squat bar, football bar and training and women's bars as well (need to tell some members not to misuse bars that aren't meant for heavy loading like the training bars however). There are plenty of bumper plates for olympic style lifting and dropping weight is allowed. There is a small but decent community of serious lifters (those competing in weightlifting or powerlifting as opposed to casually going through lifting motions) too so that small community is a nice bonus. The indoor track and 4 Concept 2 rowers is also a plus for indoor cardio especially in the winter as well as a large turf area with multiple push/drag sleds. As long as there aren't oblivious people stretching or doing who knows what in the direct path of the sled pushing, that is.Cons: Gym etiquette is a challenge (like most facilities these days) but some gym floor staff are oblivious and members are even more. Misuse of equipment is never addressed. Wiping things down, de-loading bars and equipment and being unaware of people lifting are my biggest gripes. I've had members try to take plates, bars and clips off a rack I was using mid set (while squatting!) which is a safety issue and trainers and staff walk on my platform mid set. For having good hard-core equipment, new or standard commercial gym members need to understand some basics as part of their on-boarding and staff could model better behavior. Real issue is group class lack of cleanup and trainers as well as members constantly leaving loaded bars on the ground and platforms or plates strewn about resulting in hunter-gatherer phases when looking for anything less than a 45# plate.

This is a great gym. It is one of the best around, and great value for what you pay. The sales staff amazing, Reaford Crowe is top notch and a solid professional. He helped me get my daughters signed up on my plan, and was so easy to work with. Always friendly and making sure any member he sees is doing well and if needing anything, takes the initiative to take care of it immediately. James and Jackie at the front desk are nothing short of phenomenal and smiling/friendly team members. Ivette(Zumba), Mauricio(Strong by Zumba), Kim(Body Pump) and Lindsay(Body Combat) are so passionate and amazing instructors, I love their classes, great workouts and fun to be there. Now all we need is a roof top deck/lounge with a pool, and we'd be all set.

My wife and I have been members for about 2 years and sadly the place has gone down hill. The facility is spacious and well equipped, but house keeping is terrible and the place has become just plain nasty. Moreover the front desk staff is rude(especially on weekends) and lazy. The final straw for us was the club repeatedly failing to open on time , which is absolutely unacceptable for those of us workout in the morning and need to get to work. Happening once is understandable, but repeatedly is not. Further at one point the showers in the women's locker room were out of order and at no point did the club alert us of this, via email or text... once again unacceptable for those of us who need to go to work in the morning. For these reasons we have decided to leave the gym/cancel our membership and have signed up with The Energy Club. While more expensive, the facility is very well maintained, staff is great, and they actually open early!

You know it's a good place when people walk in and the front staff greets them by name. The Facilities:GymIt's in a huge area divided into four sections. One for free weights, one that's a general open area, another for treadmills, and one for mostly stationary machines. There's also a track that runs around.Free weights have a full range of weights and there are plenty of benches. I usually came in around 4 or 5pm and there was never an issue with too many people. Multiple squat racks. Grunt at loud as you need to, the noise will dissipate. There's just that much space. The general open area is where most one on one coaching seems to take place. Plenty of equipment here. There's also a boxing bag. It's great that there's boxing gloves there for you to use. Lots of gyms I try out either don't have a bag or it's neglected so it's nice to see one here. The stationary machines are between modern and top notch. No issues with rusting. They look good and they get the job done.Plenty of stationary machines. I've never seen them too busy.LockersI was very surprised by how large the locker room was. I would guess around 200+ lockers. There are around 25 shower stalls with 20 free at any moment. What I loved most was that there was a steam sauna and a hot sauna in the shower area. They were never fully crowded and boy are they great after a workout. It's hard these days to find a gym with both types of saunas.PoolI didn't use the pool but I did see there was a pool for doing laps and there was a jacuzzi.ServiceI've gotten great services from the front staff. Moses and Moe were extremely helpful whenever I had questions or inquiries. They genuinely want to make sure guests enjoy their time.Overall a great place to take care of yourself both physically and mentally.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My husband and I started going 6 days a week at the end of October because we had a silent auction certificate to try it out free. We love it so much that we joined for our whole family--2 teenage boys, and now one of their friends has joined, too. The staff are so welcoming and remember your name, find Moses--he's so positive and always in a good mood. There is so much equipment to choose from--I never have to wait for cardio or weights and the Classes--WOW--spin, body pump, yoga--every single one is a kick butt workout and i've never been disappointed by a teacher. In fact, I've actually canceled weekend plans because I didn't want to miss the weekend classes. It's just a great vibe in general, people from all walks of life, ages, body shapes...I always leave in a better mood. PLUS a pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna!! You won't be disappointed!

This is by far my favorite gym! I have been a member for almost two years now. The staff amazing always very welcoming and helpful (Jackie and Moses are my favorites). The gym has plenty of room, good equipment and classes with very good and knowledgeable instructors. I have tried other Onelife locations, and I ended up always coming back to skyline.

Overall, I love this gym. There is tons of equipment and space, and a nice track that goes around the whole interior of the gym. I never have an issue finding a bike or treadmill to use, although stairmasters and ergs can be in high demand. There is always enough parking. The front desk and cleaning staff are incredibly friendly, and the trainers are kind and competent. Perhaps as a result of the friendly staff, most of the members are very friendly as well. The free classes are fun and well organized, and can be tailored to your fitness level. I've never done the Zone training class, but I have heard good things from friends and family. The locker facilities are clean and of adequate size and have a nice TV area where you can sit and wait if needed. There is a physical therapy clinic in the lobby which, although not directly affiliated with the gym, has been extremely convenient for me and my family. The fees are a great value for the services provided. I would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone who asks.Cons: As other reviewers have mentioned, gym etiquette by members can be a problem. People just leave mats lying around and fail to re-rack weights, clean machines after use or put away equipment, especially in the "mirror" area. At high traffic times, I do sometimes have trouble finding a place to put down my mat if I want to do floor stuff, like ab routines, ect. On the flip side, the fact that people don't put things away around means that if I leave my space briefly to get a drink of water, other patrons or even staff sometimes take over my mat and weights (I always leave my towel, phone and keys to mark the mat as "in use", and leave for no more than two minutes or so). I have also had a problem several times in the pool. Some swimmers who fashion themselves as more serious athletes are quite touchy about sharing lanes, which is a problem in a small three-ish lane pool. The lifeguard on duty usually doesn't appear to notice or care.

Where is Dakota?Honesty is the problem at this place. They literally say and offer you everything to convince you to sign up. Last year one of the people work here named Dakota, showed us around and told us literally everything is included if I subscribe that day. Next day I wanted to play Tennis and I was told no you cannot LOL . I said but Dakota said that? they said no he did not and I never saw Dakota again( Poor Dakota ). After a week, they ask me if I paid for one of the class in 2nd floor. Again, I said it is included in my membership. the response was: No it is not !!!I ended up fighting with them until they agreed to cancel my membership but they kept my wife on the contract and now she has problem with them.We all need to find Dakota to explain and tell us all how terrible is this place :@Too bad I cannot reply back to the response from the business, but anyway here is a response to below reply from the business :How come you guys are so nice and polite when you reply here? Is it too hard for you to employee some polite and honest people at your business to prevent all these from happening?
