If you work or live in downtown Anchorage then this might be the gym for you. If you don't work or live in downtown Anchorage then you should look elsewhere.The major issue with the Alaska Club Downtown is parking. You must pay for parking and that can add up over time. The equipment in the Alaska Club Downtown looks almost new. The cardio machines are on the second level in the rear and they packed them in tight. You will smell the person next to you.

Downtown is my favorite. Wide variety of equipment, clean, members choice TV. Staff helpful. And relatively quiet. People don't bang the equipment around, the overhead music doesn't dominate the atmosphere.
