I became a member of The Mix Studios earlier this year and have really enjoyed it! I had a membership at another gym, but I had a hard time trying to stay motivated to go because I have "gym anxiety". I forced myself to try The Mix Studios because I thought getting a personal trainer would force me to stay motivated, and it definitely did!!! I went from barely working out to working out 5-6 days per week! They have GREAT pricing options, which is extremely helpful because I'm a poor graduate student lol. They also just started an ultimate membership package, which is a great deal so you should definitely check it out! I really enjoy working with my personal trainer, Becky, so I highly recommend her! I also thoroughly enjoy the virtual classes taught by Sarah, Becky, Gordy, Mukta, and Robin! I have been taking them on a weekly basis during the quarantine to stay active. Their studio genuinely wants to see their members succeed and I am so glad that I found a place that I love!

This place is great! Such a fun variety of classes with welcoming people makes exercising something I no longer dread! Bounce & Burn is unlike any other class I’ve done! Don’t let the trampoline aspect intimidate you, there are plenty of modifications for whatever your needs may be. During the class, the exercises rotate/change quickly enough that they are all manageable sets yet effective and it also makes the time go by FAST. Becky is great and has lots of jokes throughout to take your mind off “the burn”! The Mix Total Body is another great class with SO many modifications for ALL fitness levels. If you are recovering from an injury they are also happy to make modifications if needed, or if you need more of a challenge that’s also an option (but be careful what you wish for, Sarah can make it pretty tough!!) Also, in just about every class there’s usually a few exercises that Physical Therapists typically prescribe to most of their patients for their home exercise program to build a strong foundation. (If you’ve been to a PT you probably know these exercises are useful to prevent re-injuring yourself so this class makes it easy to check that box as well as getting a good workout in!) This studio also has the best/most fun Zumba classes I’ve ever been to!! I look forward to trying any new classes that are added because I have yet to find one I didn’t like! If you’re considering trying out The Mix Studios I would HIGHLY recommend it no matter who you are or what physical fitness level you’re at, if you want a great workout that is fun at the same time, this place is for you!

I have tried a lot of different workout studios and trainers, and The Mix is one of the best studios and Sarah is my favorite trainer. Mix Total Body is such a fun workout and it’s different every time. This is awesome for me because I get bored doing the same workouts. I have also tried Bounce and Burn (trampoline class) a couple of times and thought it was a great cardio workout. I am not a huge cardio fan, but this class is super fun and doesn’t even feel like you’re working out!

I signed up for Personal Training sessions at the Mix Studios, and Sarah was very understanding and yet practical about my goals, and paired me up with a great Personal Trainer, Mary. I had been working out but had not been seeing the results I wanted, so Mary put me on the right track and customized my training towards my most important goals. A regular frequency of sessions combined with managing my diet helped me see effective results within the first month, but more importantly, I learnt a lot from Sarah and Mary well beyond the training sessions. I was given a lot of additional guidance and exercises, and Mary identified my weakest areas (my core, of course!), and taught me various routines and exercises and variations, while explaining in detail what the effectiveness of certain routines are. Mary was also careful about form and always erred on the safe side to prevent injury. In addition to the personal training, I like the mix of group classes offered here too - there’s quite a variety! I would be continuing at the Mix Studios, except that I had to move out of Ann Arbor!

Miranda is an energetic, knowledgeable, and fun exercise instructor. She describes the correct way to do the excercises while explaining all the muscles that are being worked in each movement. I love her classes and always feel like I've gotten a full-body workout. Mix Studios is a homey and personal exercise venue and I will definitely be going back!

Miranda is an excellent exercise instructor who is very knowledgeable. It really helps knowing what positions you should have your body in when going through the exercises. I am very pleased with the environment and it helps Miranda has a great attitude and is very fun about exercise. I will be coming to many more classes.

I do personal "remote" training with Sarah. I live in California, and I have a super busy schedule was a working mom of 2 little kids. Sarah and I meet over a video conference call, then she provides a customized workout plan for me to follow until our next conference call. My family and coworkers have noticed that I am getting toned, and I am feeling more fit and stronger. This is the longest I've stayed with any fitness routine, and I am absolutely loving it. Thanks, Sarah!

My favorite option for exercising in Ann Arbor. Sarah and her team are absolutely amazing. She will work with you on accomplishing your goals, whether it be weight loss, strength training, or running. She is truly professional and wants the best for her clients. Would highly recommend her studio!

I haven't taken many exercise classes before and I absolutely loved Miranda's classes. She assesses who is in her class and to what level she should run the class in. You leave sweaty, happy, and fulfilled! She also teaches you a lot about what is going on with your body, how to do the exercises with the right form, and when to breath which all help you get the best, most efficient work-out possible. The venue is very cute and quaint also, sometimes the big gyms or big fitness clubs are overwhelming. I love Miranda and anyone who joins her classes will too!

Sarah is an amazing trainer and fitness instructor! She's intelligent, knowledgeable, empathetic and very motivating - she will encourage you do your best while keeping track of your progress and whatever accommodations you might need in order to successfully complete the exercise. Sarah encourages you to work hard, improve and responsibly explore the boundaries of your abilities! The studio is centrally located with great parking. It's an attractive, pleasant and functional workout space with a wide variety of well-maintained equipment. Her group classes are really fun and interesting, and the time passes quickly. Sarah does a lot of research and is often introducing new ideas and exercises. Before you know it, class is over, and you're awake and feeling good!
