First time at this studio today! Very friendly people and had an amazing practice. The yoga spaces, indoors and outdoors, are beautiful. I can definitely see myself becoming a part of this yoga community long term:)I also felt safe as far as COVID goes. The vaccination policy is fair. They have a well ventilated indoor space, as well as, outdoor classes.

I have been going here since I moved here 3 years ago and it is the best yoga studio I have ever EVER been too. Everyone- the teachers, staff & volunteers are exceptional. They make everyone welcome. The teacher’s dedication is amazing. I have tried other studios in Asheville & this is the absolute best.

I had heard positive things about Asheville Community Yoga from people close to me, but only relatively recently (now that I'm vaccinated) have decided to venture to check it out. When I arrived, I felt awe in how the center was so beautiful, so peaceful, and lovely to just *be* in; the people who greeted me were so friendly and just radiated kindness and welcoming. My first class of gentle yoga with Joe felt so moving, it actually brought me to tears from the emotions I felt. I keep coming back and enjoying the peacefulness and present-ness I feel in my body and spirit from attending class. It's also so beautiful how Asheville Community Yoga uses a donation-based and volunteer-run model to make yoga more accessible! As a student with a tight budget, I don't think I would have joined *any* yoga center, even though I've been wanting to get into the practice and have been trying YouTube videos. It's awesome to be able to practice with a community while donating what I can, and I feel good supporting this place for each donation I offer :)Their little second-hand clothing store is so cute too, great quality previously-loved items that are pick your own price!Asheville Community Yoga is a gem and I highly recommend visiting and supporting them <3

Non Stop EffortsI've been going to this studio several times a week for 7 years now. New to Asheville at that time, the concept of a Donation Based Studio blew me away.....never heard of it. What was more surprising to me was how welcoming, clean, well managed, and caring this effort is and has always been. Wonderful management, staff, teachers, and class variety. Their success is due to all of this and the resulting support from the community that has afforded amazing growth without compromising it's original intent. Tough decisions have had to be made relative to COVID policies, but they were done with care and respect for those on either side of the vaccine decision. So grateful to call this my home yoga studio.

Fabulous Studio!!I have been to yoga studios all over the world, and several in Asheville. This studio is right there at the top of my list for the best studio anywhere. There is a sliding scale system which means that you can always do yoga regardless of ability to pay (some studios are now charging 25/30 dollars a class...and immersions can run into the hundreds) and the space is organized, peaceful, and really beautiful. The front desk staff and teaching staff are friendly and very helpful and their sign in/donation system is super easy to use. I especially love their outdoor space! I appreciate this studio for focusing on the wellbeing of the community and will be coming here often. Thanks, y'all!! <3

Asheville community yoga is such a beautiful gift to the community! For me personally they have been an amazing refuge from my medical school rotations especially during the stressful time of the pandemic. I love their outdoor space, evening classes, and that they're donation-based on my student budget. In particular, Emily's Thursday night classes are my favorite part of my week and always keep me going :)*Also their covid precautions have made me feel so safe and not afraid of putting my loved ones and patients at risk!

I have been vacationing in Asheville for years and recently made it my second home. This yoga center is a big part of the reason I want to spend more time here every year. My experience there is always uplifting. I am so grateful to the teachers and all the volunteers for creating this genuinely inclusive, safe environment for growing and healing in the practice. I wholeheartedly support their decision to require vaccination and know it comes from a place of true caring for the whole community.

I moved to Asheville several months ago and was looking for a place to continue my yoga practice. I found Asheville community yoga which meant that I found my happy place. The staff is wonderful and caring and the people are very respectful. The instructors are incredible and provide options for all levels of ability. The entire space is welcoming and the Zen and now shop is a great way to start your morning or end your day getting something special to bring joy to your home or gifts for someone special

I can’t imagine going to any other yoga studio. I believe in ACY’s mission and payment model (pay what you can), celebrate its inclusive and calming energy, appreciate the management and staff who are welcoming, cheerful and professional, value its implementation of Covid safety protocols, appreciate the studio’s cleanliness, really love several of its teachers (with many more I haven’t had the opportunity to practice with yet), and leave every class feeling renewed.Pics are of the new outdoor space, a lovely way to practice as the weather gets nice.I also have a really rad wardrobe of lightly used clothing articles from Zen and Now 🙌🏼
