My favorite place to practice. There are many studios in town but none with the mission or culture of ACY. I love that they make yoga accessible to anyone no matter who they are. It’s a very inclusive community that gives back. Tons of really great teachers and the studios and equipment are top notch.

I’ve been going to ACY since the beginning and it’s always been like walking home. It doesn’t matter if I practice all the time or every once in awhile. There is so much love, support and community. To me this community- is the real yoga- union! Allowing you to practice together no matter what your financial situation is - is a true gift. It’s magic. I love the teachers/classes- they are humble and always have wisdom. I love their teacher training program, which I proudly graduated from and their immersion classes which give you a little more insight for at home practice. So grateful for the teachers giving their time. Thank you!

I first attended Asheville Community Yoga after attending a guided meditative yoga class that was held at my job for wellness building. I love the atmosphere and that it is also a pay what you can based studio. You will leave with a renewed sense of peace.

I am so grateful for Asheville Community Yoga, what it has done for me personally and for what it provides the community! The facility is incredible, as are the teachers and staff. I frequently attend classes, plus teach once a week, and continually encourage others to take advantage of what is offered there. Oh...and I love Karma Cafe too!

Asheville Community Yoga hosts an incredible variety of classes with a diverse range of very talented instructors. ACY's accessible donation-based studio model is brilliant and I am so grateful they exist. They also provide yoga mats and props to you at the studio!

ACY is a true service to our community. As a student, I always feel welcome and I never feel judged. As a trainee, I was supported and encouraged. Now as one of the many volunteer teachers, I feel appreciated and grateful for the opportunity. This model of a non-profit yoga studio is unique. It is a blessing to have a space to practice yoga which is accessible to all.

This is a great spot. I appreciate the cleanliness of the studios and restrooms. The studios are also quite spacious and the props are of high-quality and kept in good shape. I'd certainly recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early the first time you come so you can get parked, register, and find your way around. They have a large gravel parking lot in the back which is a huge benefit. There are a variety of classes throughout the day every day. There tend to be mats set-up in advance so I usually don't bring my own mat and just use what is provided.

Asheville Community Yoga is such a nurturing and safe environment for so many in the area. The staff and volunteers genuinely help you feel welcomed and appreciated. They make yoga accessible to everyone, and provide many other wonderful services to promote community wellness. I am truly grateful for the space and community at ACY.

I've been regularly attending classes at Asheville Community Yoga for maybe ten years. Because of the studio's philosophy of "pay as you can," I've been able to practice yoga with a teacher several times a week, for which I am most grateful. I've had excellent teachers all the way along! Thank you, Michael, for having the vision to create ACY and serve the community in such a profound way.

Coming to Asheville Community Yoga has changed my life! I get that sounds hyperbolic, but it is an amazing place to explore yoga as a beginner, or to challenge yourself over time. There are plenty of workshops, retreats, and volunteer opportunities offered here as well. And the best part, it's donation based!
