A great YMCA centrally located. Newly renovated, with child care, two pools, spin room, weight room, sauna, basketball courts, and lots of great run routes starting at the front door.

We have been members of the Y since 1985, but after what just happened moments ago, we will be changing to another gym.We pulled into the parking lot as two people (who we realized later were the last employees leaving the building). They watched us get our bags out and walk toward the temporary entrance and as they backed out of their parking spaces next to the building NEITHER OF THEM HAD THE DECENCY to say "Sorry, we're closed." SERIOUSLY! FOR REAL! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!Between that and the lack of privacy in the locker rooms because they're too timid to enforce the "no cell phone" policy and the nasty bathrooms at the Woodfin location, we're going to see if there's a gym that treats its customers with respect.Geez, Louise. We had just left Greenlife and they had an employee at the door saying, "we're closed," etc., etc. So how hard would it have been for just one of those Y employees to say, "hey, we just closed." It would have been no big deal to us that they closed early. It's just the attitude of watching someone go through the effort of getting bags and towels in hand and then just driving off chuckling to themselves, "Hardeeharhar! Won't that be hilarious when they get to the door and it's closed and we didn't even have the courtesy to put a sign on the door saying that we had closed early. Oh, hohoho, what chumps!"

Always very clean. Great child care, staff is helpful and attentive for the most part. Had one bad experience of asking for information about swim classes, one brochure was shoved in my face and the employee just looked the other way and didn't care to ask if I had any other questions. Other than that it's a great environment to be in and the good definitely outweighs the bad (I attend a few times a week).
