Reuters is a great YMCA with ample studios for a wide variety of classes. The aquatic area includes locker rooms, sauna, steam room, hot tub and a lap pool. The pool is used for lap swimming, swim lessons, water aerobics and open swim for individuals and families. Reuters also offers health education and socials. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional.

I have been a YMCA member since January of 2018. And, I probably should talk with the facility director before leaving this feedback. But, the more I think about it, the more upsetting it is to me. For over a year, I would sometimes bring my dog with me and walk him on the YMCA sidewalk while my son, almost 13, played basketball. No issues until last week when I was called while walking my service dog outside and was told I needed to be inside the facility while he is playing basketball. I informed them, I had never had any issues for over a year doing this. Last week, I was told I had to stay inside the facility. My dog is a service dog. So, I brought her in after showing them all her certifications, service tag, etc. We went and walked around the inside track. Then today I was confronted on the inside track that she had barked and lunged at someone. That is so not true. I had a witness. A dog barks to communicate. And, when someone ran by her like my son and grandson do, she assumed they wanted to play, barked and tried to run along beside them. But, I didn't let her. My son is very mature for his age. Straight A student, top of his class, was told he could even skip some grades, involved in the community and sports. In AIG. And, it's just not fair. I think I will for sure be cancelling my YMCA Membership. By the way I give Angelia 5 star rating. She should be in charge. She is the only one that communicated and took time to listen to my frustrations and let me know who I should contact. Which, I haven't done yet. Hopefully, if my schedule allows, I will add it to my mile long 'to do' list. But, for now, it looks like I will be finding something that's more pet friendly.

My all time favorite Y. I absolutely love this place! Wonderful staff great energy at this y. Everyone here is like my family. Curtis is on fire with Zumba & Natalie rocks. If you want your legs burning join Kathy’s class Sunday. Miss Treassa is a joy.

My life has gotten easier and healthier since going to Y. Everyone's nice and friendly and looks involved. Staffs are nice and upbeat. I love their child care that they really care about your children. There are so many programs and we never get bored.

I have had great experiences at this branch of the YMCA. I've had my toddler in swim lessons, I've taken adult swim lessons, I've used their onsite childcare, and I've taken Zumba and yoga classes. The entire staff is wonderful. My son loves to go to the child care while I work out; they interact with the kids and make sure everyone is having fun.My only criticism is the size of their family locker room. There are only 3 changing rooms plus a couple of benches and a few lockers. There is no way everyone getting ready for swim lessons can use it to get ready. Children over 4 can't be in the regular locker room with a parent of the opposite sex and have to use the family one. It's also much easier to use a contained space when trying to get ready with a 2 year old, but it just isn't possible with the family locker room they have now.

I am biased because I work here part time but it is a truly special place. Clean, warm, modern and fabulous community environment as well as programs! I am a member as well with my family and my children so enjoy the kids activities as well as the climbing wall. The basketball camp in the summer is wonderful. Definitely an awesome family friendly YMCA!

My favorite gym in WNC, most people are friendly here. The meat head ratio is very low here, great classes too. Come visit me Saturday mornings for Tai chi.

Been a member here for months an been using the same exact pool float for my infant daughter an at my last visit was told by the life guard i wasnt allow to have it in the pool and was given the alernative of her wearing their flotation device which states its for a child over 24lbs!! Not pleased at all😠 Then my older daughter who has been in the pool for over an hour was told by the same life guard she needed a life jacket after an hour of already being in the pool!!There is no sign posted anywhere about this float "rule". Lifeguards name is Zoe an absoulute ass in my opinion!
