The Reuter YMCA is an awesome place to work/workout at. With all the restrictions we are under, they are doing everything they can to provide as many group exercise classes on land as well as in the water as time will allow! Way to go Reuter!!

The only reason why I continue to visit this location is due to the instructors. I have been a member of the Y for 10+ years and on one incident (when my debit card was changed) I did not realize that payment was not debited. When I went to scan in of course it red flagged my account. I was rushing to get to a class and instead of saying go to your class and we will update you at the end of it, they made a entire CASE out of it causing me to miss my class. At that point I lost all respect for certain staff at that location ONLY! Other than that the Y is great has some awesome classes and that is why I continue my membership there.

Warning Watch your bank account ! When they closed for the pandemic, I was not notified. I showed up to workout and the doors were locked. I had a Month-to-Month contract. The Reuter Family YMCA charged my bank account continuously$61. per month even though the doors were locked. My husband noticed it on our bank statement after 4 months. I spoke with several people over the weeks as I tried to get a refund. They could not refund all the money back. It was too late. They said they do not call or send letters out to people that are members who don't have email.( I do have email, they just didn't have it.) They said I didn't read the policy when I joined and it was my burden to put my account on hold due to the closure. Also, a member can only put his or her membership on hold for 6 months MAX. before billing automatically resumes. CEO, Paul Vest would do for me is make the 4 months ($244.) a "donation" by sending me a letter I can use for a tax deduction. They did refund me 1 month.(I asked if COVID will be over in 6 months, they said the pool is now open so are their outreach and outdoor classes. ) They need to read their own Mission Statement. With no job, I suffered financial hardship due to this YMCA not contacting me. (Even though I was Month-to-Month and all gyms were under State Mandatory Shut Down.NO STARS for this Y. Predatory Business Practice

Stay clear of the youth volleyball program. Our coach, who is NOT a Y employee was awesome! The Y youth program director, not so much.My daughter didn't get a team shirt till her last game? All other girls had one.We didn't pay for pictures cause she had no team shirt. I asked repeatedly....Very disorganized and poor support. Again, our volunteer coach was great, this is about the staff. For championship games, we were made aware that there had been a second game 1 hour prior to the game! Really? We were sent an email with a link to buy tickets to a college game and pizza party that didn't work.Like I said unorganized, we won't do that again!

Overall i really like this place. but the family locker room is really really hard use if you actually have a family. And there's a lifeguard who hangs out in the hot tub and tells me my daughter isn't allowed in there even though there's not age limit posted anywhere and the lifeguard is out of uniform... but the gym and pool are wonderful.

Been to this y several times now. Pretty nice, good equipment. I was there a couple of days ago and the locker room was filthy. Looked like had not been vacuumed in a while. Old rusty lockers. Too many kids in weight room area. Staff has been helpful and friendly. IMO.

Be ymca members many years, at this point, got to discontinue with them no more... have a account payment problem, without any notice and close your account, and nobody give your called or any email to warm you have problems, until my kids want to go in there practice, because the credit card company make a mistake, they just cut you off!!! Since sign up, not even been there for six months total, mainly for kids to go learn lesson there, it would be very nice if you guys can EMAIL your member customer or CALL to contact them let them know WHAT HAPPEN!!!!

The Hendersonville YMCA childcare is far superior in my opinion. Just tried to drop off our 17month old here to try their location out and the childcare lady looked and acted like she did not even like her job. She made zero effort making our son feel comfortable at drop off. We ended up leaving right away after that interaction and are going to our home YMCA in Hendersonville. The childcare personnel at Hendersonville go above and beyond to make the kids feel comfortable and welcome. They always have good attitudes, and appropriate enthusiasm to keep the kids engaged, happy, and comfortable while parents are away.***Horrible experience at Reuter YMCA! ****
