I've been a member of John's Gym for about a year and 2 months and have been more than satisfied with my experience. My membership is worth more than every penny of my monthly dues. I've been doing the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and no-gi Jiu Jitsu classes and I can't say enough good things about them. John, the owner, is a super nice guy who shows genuine care for his students. Also, I had never been a member of a martial arts gym before and I was wary that there would be "meat heads" and kind of a macho culture, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It's a totally friendly and chill environment. The other instructors are also black belts and experts in the martial arts that they teach. They welcome questions and are very encouraging. Do yourself a favor and try out some classes there. It's awesome - seriously.

My son has been taking the kids BJJ classes here for a few months and I have been extremely impressed by quality of instruction. He loves coming to class and I love the welcoming community the gym has offered. He is not only gaining jiu jitsu skills but I have also seen his self-esteem improve and better ability to focus. I can't recommend this place more. Would give it 10 starts if I could.

My children have participated with three other gyms in Tennessee and Texas since they were 5 years old. John's Gym is by far a higher quality of instruction and display a true love of the art of Jiu Jitsu. My children have now been students of John's Gym for the past two years and display respect and a healthy self confidence. Thanks, to The John's Gym family.

I've been training BJJ at this gym for almost 2 years now and It's really been a great experience. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly to all and at the same time very tough and competitive. I don't always try to get most people I talk to to start training BJJ (Yes I do) but when I do, I refer them to this place because I know they'll get treated right and trained well.

I must have researched half a dozen other Brazilian jiu jitsu programs in the Austin area before I joined John's Gym over a year ago. Starting my jiu jitsu journey as an overweight 39 year old was beyond intimidating, but right from the start they put me at ease. Whether it was setting up my first free class with Jasmine online up to walking in my first day at the 620 location where John shook my hand and welcomed me, I couldn't have asked for a better way to begin.Without exception, every coach and gym member that I have ever met or trained with in the John's Gym family has been positive and selfless.Pressure, accountability and camaraderie are applied in equal doses to make for a great experience each time I walk through the the door. Everyone here helps everyone so that we can all be the best that we can be.

What a great gym, I joined John's in November of last year. I always wanted to try Jiu Jitsu and never had any martial arts experience.... Needless to say I was nervous. From day one I felt welcomed by John, Jasmine and everyone in the gym. After a few short months I have really begun to fall in love with this sport. John is a great instructor who has been patient with a beginner like myself and at the same time a very knowledgeable, encouraging, and motivating person who I truly trust and value. All teammates are a great group of people who have also been very helpful and positive. I feel extremely lucky to be able to train here and look forward to many more years. If you are looking to learn Jiu Jitsu check out John's Gym. I knew from day one this is where I wanted to learn Jiu Jitsu.

I joined John's Gym about 3 weeks ago and love it. I took a trial class, and afterwoods spoke to several of the students as well as John. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and excited to be there. Although I am new to BJJ, the instructors and my fellow students have been very patient and encouraging. This is a great group of people. I highly recommend John's Gym.

I've been training Jiu Jitsu at John's Gym for close to 5 months on a friends recommendation. Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff and great patrons. John(owner) once told me that one of the things he was most proud of was the culture he and his team had cultivated within the gym. I cannot recommend John's Gym highly enough.

John's Gym is great! I had always wanted to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but I was always scared to get started. After looking at a number of gyms, Jasmine showed me around and set me up with a test class. I was hooked, and immediately signed up. Everyone at the gym, from the owners and coaches to the other members, couldn't be nicer. The gym has a family vibe, and everyone really makes you feel welcome. The instruction is at a very high level, and the coaches really know how to get the best out of their students. I have been a member a little over a month taking BJJ and cardio boxing. I can't wait to continue to learn and grow for years to come. I would highly recommend John's to anyone looking to learn new skills, get in shape, and make friends.

I came to John's Gym to learn Muay Thai and strengthen up and I've been very satisfied with the results. The staff and coaches are very friendly and supportive. The will Immediately call out when your doing something wrong and make sure your doing it correctly before moving on. They always stick around to answer any questions or help improve your form. The coaches will also push you to do your best during workouts which is something I admire a lot. I used to stop during workouts at the gym thinking I couldn't go anymore or that I hit my limit, then get frustrated when I didn't see the results I wanted. Coaches here showed me I could do more and go further and just after 2 weeks, I could already feel my energy levels growing and my body changing.I would recommend John's Gym to anyone wanting to get fit or break away for the regular gym routine. And those wanting to learn martial arts /self defense.
