I cannot say enough about why I love SOLA! It was my first time joining crossfit gym and I am SO GLAD I chose SOLA! Jess and Dave (the owners) create such a positive environment and the coaches and other members make you feel welcomed on day 1. I love and missed the people so much that I rejoined despite having moved to north austin. Awesome community and COVID SAFE! Love SOLA!

I fall into the camp of "did literally nothing during the pandemic" and a year later I had an extra 30 pounds to show for it. I tried the working out at home by myself routine but I found myself just making excuses and perpetuating the cycle I was used to for the last year. I knew I needed to put myself out there and actually attend classes in order to see results. I had already heard great things about SOLA Fitness when they were CrossFit affiliated, so I did a little digging on FB, IG and Google and it looked super positive.I’ve officially been attending classes 3x a week for a couple of weeks now and all I can say is this is the BEST decision I’ve made in the past year! First let’s talk facilities – super clean, I mean really clean (for those of you that have done CF at other gyms you know that this is a big deal). Class sizes are restricted to 14 people and all of us are social distanced within our own little taped off area complete with everything we need that day for the WOD. Next is the owners/coaches – the gym is owned by a husband/wife team and they are like the “dream team” – both are really down to earth and super easy to talk to. Joining a new gym can be so intimidating and I really think Jess and Dave do a great job of getting know their members and their specific goals. You realize really quickly that both know what they are talking about and have the experience to back it up.The overall gym vibe is super laid back and it’s not like some gyms where you are stepping into a fog of testosterone (aka Bro Down). Don’t get me wrong – people are serious here about their fitness and when the workout starts it’s all business; but they smile, they laugh and they are genuinely happy to be here. I consider myself to be a little socially awkward and introverted in group settings but everything about this place is inclusive and positive – that’s a win in my book.If you are on the fence about joining a gym or feeling stuck from the past year, don’t hesitate to check this place out. I have no regrets other than wishing I had done this sooner!

I was so nervous about starting at CrossFit, but the SOLA team quickly made those worries disappear. The atmosphere is incredibly inclusive, the coaches and other athletes are so supportive, and the workouts are so challenging in the best of ways! The staff takes COVID precautions very seriously and are committed to athlete safety and health. If you're thinking of starting, don't hesitate, SOLA is a great place to begin.

Was looking to try out some CrossFit style training while staying in Austin for a month and a half and after taking a look at a few other gyms in the area, my husband and I knew SOLA was the place for us! The coaches are patient and encouraging, they really want to make sure you grow your skills with the right form.We loved every single coach, Dave, CJ, Waleed, Rudy. Jess was really great to work with also, making sure we had everything we needed. You really can't beat the energy here. The members were welcoming and even helpful when they could see we needed some guidance on anything from which weight to choose to where to find good eats around town. It's the perfect balance of making sure you're comfortable with the movements and a challenging/competitive environment. 100% recommend and can't wait to come back!P.S. especially good w/ COVID protocols and regular gym hygiene in general, far better than most other gyms we've seen.

Having recently moved to Austin, with no friends or family in the area, it was important for me to find a place where I could get in better shape and meet new friends in the process. Little did I know this place would provide me with everything I was looking for and more. I’ve been working out at this place for about a month and a half and already feel like I’ve found a new family. Given my introverted nature, this was definitely a welcome surprise. Getting in shape was my secondary goal, and I’m already starting to see and feel lots of progress in my physical health as well.Everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting at SOLA fitness is down to earth, non-judgmental, and genuinely cares about seeing you succeed based on your goals. If you are new to CrossFit like I was and aren’t familiar with all the movements, the coaching staff here will be there to help you every step of the way. While I am a big fan of all of the coaches here at SOLA fitness, I’d like to give a special shout-out to CJ who has went above and beyond to make me feel at home here.If you are looking to join a friendly community and want to take your overall health to the next level, I strongly suggest giving SOLA fitness a try. You won’t regret it.

This gym follows nc.fit programming, which was formerly CrossFit. They offer 60 minute HIIT exercise classes that feature a mix of barbell + cardio + mobility training. It's excellent. Great coaches; nice, clean, comfortable space.

I came by for a noon class while in town for work. The place was very spacious with easy parking and the coach and other members were very welcoming. Worth a stop by when in the area.
