Crunch Fitness - Avondale

Watch out - this company is posting job advertisements and using it as a way to scam people into memberships. They were targeting my minor stepdaughter with this - this is really unethical and judging by the poor reviews this is a very unethical company.

Second Sunday in a row that I'm sitting here when they were supposed to be open at 6:00. It seems scheduling is a problem on the weekends. Over my time at the gym I've lost count of how many times on the weekends that I've been here on my schedule to find the doors locked.

The staff is amazing! Every time I go in to work out they always greet me at the door. I also am able to bring my 3 year old with me and put her in the childcare!!

--edit to my original review--I originally had a problem come up that involved previous management of this facility. However once a Mr. Prath Burton found out about the issue he informed me of a management change and quickly helped me resolve the problem. He seemed very professional and understanding. If this is the type of person that represents the Avondale location then I believe they would be a great place for anybodys business with the professional and welcoming attitude that was presented.

Men’s restrooms always reek of urine and has puddles of it at anytime you go. Sauna has broken wood with exposed nails for the last few days. Treadmills sit with trash the whole time. Restroom sanitizers are empty 7 out of 10 times. Pros, newer gym equipment but poor hygienic management.

Sam was very helpful when I was here trying to get my membership at the avondale location. He really went above and beyond when the system was not working and was very understanding of my time and that i could not wait!!! Thank you so much Sam I appreciate your understanding and excellent costumer service!!!!

Joined gym early 2020. Covid happened. Gym monthly membership fee restart deducted from my account since Sept 2020. Afraid to go to gym since I am fearful that I may have contracted covid from gym in March. To cancel membership, I was told I must come into the gym to sign papers. I asked if the cancellation papers could be emailed to me. Gentleman on phone developed a harsh tone with me and suggested I bring my own pen to sign papers with since I am so scared to visit the facility. Hung up due to rising hostility from guy on phone.Update 12/12/21: Discovered this location started charging my bank card again after nearly a year post cancellation. Charged me 2 months of dues before I realized charges. Went into gym and asked for manager. Took manager over 20 minutes to come to the front desk to speak with me. I let the guy know I was being charged dues post cancellation. He tried to sell me stuff and tell me stories of new ownership. I told him his company was making FRAUDULANT CHARGES on my account and I wanted it fixed ASAP. I didn't care there is new owners. That has NOTHING to do with the FRAUDULANT charges being made to my account. After standing there for another 20 minutes while he "tried" to cancel and refund my charges, I told him he can email me the confirmation. Guy keeps asking why I am so hostile. My response was,"If a company is STEALING money from your account, would you be happy?" Come on! Went to my bank to make the charges stop. Bad business practices.

This place is a "no judgment zone" it was my first time coming here today to workout by myself, because I usually go with a friend but unfortunately I don't have friends out here yet. But I'm doing it for me so I don't really mind people in there and was just working out! Some people will help u if u ask them. So get out of your comfort zone.

Gym is great, friendly staff. But Common Crunch you guys have to fix the men’s shower. One of the showers is clogged while the other two you can cook a chicken. Like showering with lava.

Amazing gym, Friendly staff, and very clean. Not overly busy and never had any troubles using the equipment I needed. Very nice for the price and the amenities that are included!
