Our 5yr old was having trouble with his behavior and his anger at daycare. He wouldn't know how to express himself without wanting to throw toys or hit the person bothering him in class. Of course, we'd get calls to pick him up from school. One time even as early as dropping him off 30m prior! I talked to his physician, and he didn't feel he had behavioral problems but rather needed guidance and wasn't too concerned. It was a struggle and I told his dad we needed to do something to help him before starting kindergarten in 6 months! That's when we decided to put him in jiu-jitsu. It has been a lifesaver!! He's been with GB Avondale since December 2021. He's not only improved with his behavior but he's also been amazing with communicating with his now BJJ family. Making new friends, excited to compete, and now on the mat with his two brothers. The amount of love, support, and discipline the professor and coaches give them is effortless and amazing to be a part of.
