Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Self Defense - Avondale

I signed both myself and my son up for weekly classes. We have been having a blast and getting fit doing it! Great professor, great coaches, staff and very clean building! Would highly recommend to improve your child’s character, self confidence and for learning self defense. Being former military and currently a NRA firearms instructor I understand how important martial arts training Is for everyday life. I wish I would have signed us up sooner!

My son has been taking classes at Gracie Barra Avondale for about two weeks now and he absolutely loves it! I was a little nervous about it at first and unsure if my son would take to it, but Professor and the coaches are so great with him and the other students. They make it fun and also teach respect and discipline. They instill in the kids that to do well in class and promote, you also have to do well in school and at home. My daughter is now showing interest and practices with my son at home. I can't wait to start her in classes!!

We are so happy to have found GB in Avondale. We son started a couple months ago and my daughter decided to join him a couple weeks ago. Both kids absolutely love it it! Not only do they learn so much about jiu jitsu while having fun they also learn important life lessons and I feel like they’re creating well rounded kids.The professor and coaches are all amazing. Everyone knows my kids by name and takes the time to actually know them. We aren’t $$$ here - I feel like my kids are truly cared about. The parents are great here too - which is definitely not the case everywhere. It definitely feel likes like family - the good kind 😅I highly recommend GB Avondale to anyone who asks where we are almost every day! My son even had his birthday party here!

I absolutely love the instructor. I have my 10 year old and she loves coming to class. All the assistants are truly amazing to the kids. They are hands on and very patient with the kiddos.

The professor and coaches at GB Avondale are amazing. My daughter started in February of this year. Wanted to do a competition the professor and coaches assured us that she was ready and would perform great. She has learned so much in the past 3 months and I cannot wait to see how much more she may learn. Thank you GB Avondale for such an awesome experience.

Gracie Barra is awesome. My daughter started about 2 wks ago and truly loves it. She is building confidence and friendships that will last her a lifetime. The Couches and professors are amazing as well.

This is my third child to enroll in jiu jitsu. What one must look for is consistency in the training, as well as discipline through practice. My daughters have trained under Christine cyborg, Rafael Cordelia back in CA. They are well known in the UFC arena as world class.Here, at Gracie, my third child, grandchild recieves the same world class training that you can ask for. Cost? Yes it can be pricey, however, it is very affordable considering the quality, cleanliness and care that "coach " and "professor" provides. Expect to pay around $129 per month. That's amazing considering you are paying $5-6 per session. Heck we drop that every day for star bucks. So drop the coffee and give your loved ones a lifetime of protection, discipline and confidence.COVID? They clean the whole place before each class. I Highly recommend this facility and staff.

Gracie Barra is an excellent place to learn Jiu Jitsu. Very knowledgeable Professor and Coaches. They are also wonderful with children. I highly recommend Gracie Barra for Adults and Children.
