Coming into the gym for the first time I loved it , After my second visit I realized this wasn't a good fit for me. 85% of the members in this gym are already fit..Mostly everybody in there looked to be a trainer with there muscled bodies. If you are looking to lose weight and tone up this gym will be very discouraging. I weigh 254lbs and I felt like I was thee biggest person there definitely out of place ! Try somewhere better !

Beautiful facilities in a beautiful location! I recently moved out to Baltimore and this was my second stop as far as looking for a gym. They start out by getting to know you and they don't just stop when they know what you need from a gym (what equipment, facilities, etc) I met with Sherryl and she is excellent! Her approach of describing the gym to me was very different than anything I have ever dealt with. Not pushy at all and all of the information she provided and how she provided it was what convinced me that the MAC was the gym I wanted to be at! They go as far as wanting to know your individual/personal goals and they really want to help you achieve these goals by offering different resources within the gym. Not a typical gym at all. I was not expecting to be so excited about a gym membership.

Fantastic facility. Has all of the necessary accoutrements. The salt water pool is awesome! Very clean, friendly staff, and it's never too crowded.

I love the MAC! Good gym environment - clean, lots of equipment so you never have to wait, plenty of trainers and staff to assist. Pilates and yoga classes are excellent, too.

I have belonged to the MAC for about a year. Overall I'm happy with it.Positives:Mutilpe PoolsNot crowded most of the time, 5-7 PM is more crowded but mornings and weekends are fineTowel serviceClean facilitiesDecent number of classes and they are good, taught by knowledgebale instructorsNo cell phones allowed on the floor (so no idiots are blabbing to someone while others are attempting to work out)the gymgoers are mainly people there to work out, not socialize or be "bros".It's mainly young professionals.Negatives:Spin class is ridiculous. There's a line to sign up for spin class 30 mintues before class and any interest I had in taking such a class is GONE. Somehow they seem to miss the concept of supply and demand and should simply have more spin classes. This makes no sense to me.The entrance. ARGH. The turnstile to get in is the most frustrating, broken down piece of junk I have ever seen in a "modern" gym. For a gym that prides itself on its great technology this thing is antiquated scrap metal that should be taken out and shot. How does it take a minute to enter a gym and get through this #%#E$% machine!?! Shouldn't it be a smooth seamless process that y'know gets people inside as opposed to barring my way, not reading my barcode and then refusing to work, and causing problems.Too many of the classes are during the day. there are classes in the middle of the day I want to take but my office (as opposed to my house) is not nearby.I would recommend unsubscribing to their emails, it's continuous stream of sign up for personal training, your gym does not cost enough, spend more on the gym, kind of emails.Looking at the review, it seems I'm emphasizing the negatives more, but it seems like mostly simple things that they just haven't fixed. Overall I like the gym, it's just there are things that irritate me enormously about it.

The MAC-Harbor East is the best place to work out. The training, pool and shower areas are neat, clean and well maintained. Even on the busiest days, the MAC never feels overcrowded. The staff and trainers are the best around. From the office to the front desk to the personal trainers and instructors, you are made to feel welcome. The group classes are fantastic, and timed to meet the constraints of a busy life. The Personal Trainers encourage you to set and meet goals, constantly pushing you to the next level. The innovative mini clinics and MAC blast boot camps are a great way to jump start into a healthier lifestyle. I challenge anyone to stop by the MAC Harbor East, take the tour and see for yourself.

I am a MAC member for a year now and I really like it specially after the new equipment was brought in. The staff is very friendly and always looking for the benefit of the client. It is very clean and shinny, I personally like it, it gives a healthy look to the MAC. The group workouts vary. I am sure every one can find a workout they fit in. They also have every level difficulty -never feel afraid to join, you will get the help you need. They also have nutrition advice and several other classes. The swimming facility is nice and it also includes a variation of classes and workouts. I find it a complete gym with everything you need.

I love that they have a pool. Good amount of lanes, plus a splash pool for kids, a therapy pool that they do work out classes in which is a little warmer, and a hot tub! Get your swim on people!
