PDX Muscle I joined back just about 6 months ago and love it. It is clean, the people are friendly, equipment that most gyms don't have which makes the workout a challenge (in a good way). The staff acknowledges you on a regular for your progression and willing to share best practices. Dan Simpson it my go to coach, I appreciate his leadership, and laughs every time I go. This is my happy place and in all that I have learned from him, he doesn't just train but lives out what he trains his clients. It is a place that I refer people to and most recently love the new addition of equipment as well new greeting area. Great place if you haven't tried it out, sadly you are missing out.

I can't say enough about how grateful I am to have found PDX muscle and the great coaches there! I personally work with Dan, who is whipping my a$$ into shape! The thing that I like the most is the no BS attitude and honesty from staff and members. I have come from other gyms that had so many restrictions on what I could and couldn't do, I felt like it was holding me back! PDX Muscle has a great variety of equipment for every level of fitness, I highly recommend them!

I’ve been going to this gym for years now, back when it was Rhino Fitness, but with the new name and new ownership PDX Muscle is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. There is such a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the doors, with so many great trainers to choose from, and brand new equipment to use. From beginners to pro athletes, I highly suggest stopping by and trying it out!

Great gym with all the equipment you need for exercises including circuit training, boxing, isolation and compound exercises, weightlifting, powerlifting; this gym has it all. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Amy (front desk staff) is welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. Very inclusive atmosphere no matter where you are at in your fitness journey. Classes are offered by Coach Dan and energy is always high. If you want a motivating gym family, this is the place to come!

Okay normally I don’t write reviews of locations unless I had a really great experience or a very poor experience. PDX muscle is an old school type of bodybuilding gym, that honestly looks super cool. Their equipment is dope and the way it presented looks like a place for serious lifters. Once they opened up in phase 1, I signed up with excitement. Not just to workout, however to find a small community of like minded people. A place I can call home, since my previous gym went out of business due to the virus. However, my experience with the staff, especially one named Dan didn’t make us feel welcomed. Many instances occurred for being called out for equipment use or the “rules” at the gym. At first I was confused and I didn’t think anything of it. So I didn’t let it affect my training partner and I continued to train. However, I was noticing a pattern it seemed to me every time I went to the gym. I was worried of upsetting a trainer which should be the least of my worries. One day, it hit the nail on the coffin when I was called out again for taking over an equipment. There was some confusion, but I was completely yelled out and spoken to in a very unprofessional way. From there I just felt like I didn’t belong here. I no longer wanted endure the harassment given to me, just from working out to achieve my goals. Or using the gym as a copping mechanism during these tough times. This gym is really cool, however the staff didn’t make us feel welcomed or respected. I wasn’t comfortable even working out. It took one of the trainers to yelled with disrespect to finally just stand up for myself explain what he was doing was not okay. I felt as my training partner and I were called out for things that other members weren’t even talked to about it. I told him and myself that if we really have to worry this much just to train at “our” gym, then it’s not worth this headache. So we decided to leave.

PDX Muscle has been my home for years even when it was Rhino Fit Studios. I come everyday and am excited to be there. Everyone is helpful and want each other to see progress with their fitness goals. The extra kicker is that you have 24 hour access to the facility. I can come and go on Holidays and not have to worry about open/close times. It really is the perfect set up if you ask me. I'll gladly support local businesses like this as they're providing the best environment for me. I won't ever go back to any corporate owned gym in the future. Thanks to PDX Muscle for treating me so well over the years.

I’ve been training at PDX Muscle for over 2 years (previously Rhino Fitness). The gym has improved significantly since new ownership took over. The equipment is great, it is very clean, the trainers/staff are well qualified and the atmosphere is very positive and welcoming. You are able to work out when it fits your schedule, as it is open 24 hours a day. It is setup to work for any fitness level from beginner up to a pro fitness competitor. I personally train with Dan and he has been a great coach and really helped guide me on my fitness journey. I highly recommend PDX Muscle to anyone looking for a great place to work out.
