I used this Planet Fitness while traveling over the summer for business. Staff was far from exceptional and borderline rude (at least some of them). Facilities left MUCH to be desired, but the main reason for the one star rating is the fact that I signed up for what was essentially a 2 month membership. After I signed up (and paid them) I was informed that to not automatically be enrolled in a membership that will cause me to incur a $40 charge, I have a week window (a month and a half away) to cancel so I won't be charged. So, fortunately (I thought), I remembered to cancel in that small widow (they wouldn't let me just tell them in advance), to ensure that I won't be charged... I was charged anyways. So, I then reached out to the manager Quincy (I'm told was his name), and told him about the scenario. He told me the person who cancelled it did it wrong (?!) and that he would fix it and they would mail me a check in TWO MONTHS... of course (I'm not a negative or jaded person, but at this point, this is almost to be expected), I never received the check. This is kind of unbelievable that a large seemingly legitimate institution would be so shady, let alone incompetent. I clearly have done everything correctly (they have verified I have and it was their mistake), yet 5 month later, they still have not refunded the money the have verified they owe me. Evidently they have a new manager now, Anna, who I hope will resolve this for me... without telling me they'll again mail me a check that will (or not!) arrive in 2 months. Also, I'm in the hospitality/service industry and find it frustrating when people leave reviews without coming to us first to rectify the situation, which I have done, to no avail... just thought I'd share this to hopefully prevent others from have the horrendous experience I had with Planet Fitness in Bloomington, MN. Thank you.Follow-up: Anna did fix the issue in a timely manner... thank you Anna! However, the overall experience was so bad and time consuming, I'm not modifying the 1 star review. Props to Anna, though, for doing what she could, after the fact.

Very happy with this place! I love the 30 minute circuit they have. LOVE the massage chairs. Wish they had more chairs or another bed. My only complaint would be with some of the people that will sit at a machine and either text, read a book or talk with their friends. But that isn't the gyms fault!

I went in (skeptical) for a tour and was so impressed that I fought myself to sign up. I really didn’t think I’d like the gym because it seemed overly hyped up. The facilities were nice and clean (which is a plus, because I like to workout, shower, and go straight to the office), music wasn’t blaring (so you can listen to your own music, audiobook, or podcast), and it wasn’t overly crowded. A friend told me about the massage chairs and I rolled my eyes, thinking they’d be super cheap quality. Then I sat down in one. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! They were definitely spa quality and work from the back of your head down to your calves (which I needed because I was sore). Today was my first day and I loved it. The staff were friendly (even at 6am), the vibe felt peaceful, machines were available, the floor wasn’t overcrowded, the tv’s were set to a range of channels, and the locker room was clean and comfortable.

I always find the equipment I need open or at least about to be open. All the equipment seems up to date and work great. You can’t beat the price point. The tanning beds need to be cleaned under the plastic glass thing you lay on. It has so much dirt, hair, and God knows what else under it. The staff seem to be very indifferent if you are there or not. They aren’t rude but aren’t friendly either. They don’t say hey or bye.

Love the exercise machines and the biggest looser corner. Very clean since everyone has to clean the equipment themselves after using it. Awesome membership price. Only thing to improve is to let people know the biggest looser corner is for biggest looser workout only not to just randomly use the stations.

I’ve been to quite a few different PF locations, and while the staff were super friendly, the location was very small and bizarre. The equipment is all packed really close together and is all kinda janky compared to other locations. The tanning booths are super small, and the massage bed is placed right by the front desk, you’re basically out in the open. Gave it a try but probably won’t be coming back.

Staff is friendly and lots of equipment to choose from. The workout area is also really clean and well organized. The one problem with this location is that the locker rooms and showers are disgusting. I know they don't clean it daily or even check it and that is pretty gross. I have seen old band aids in the drains and even chew spit sitting in the shower for days. Yes the people attending the gym need to respect the locker room more, but the staff needs to keep up and make sure the showers are clean. I have been going to the Burnsville location for this reason alone as their staff keeps it cleaner. They need to check these locker rooms hourly like other gyms to make sure that they are at least up to minimal standards. Clean your locker rooms and you could be a five star gym! I guess you get what you pay for...

This gym is affordable, but doesn't seem like it. It is clean, with friendly staff, and all kinds of people of all ages and fitness levels. You don't have to be self conscious here, if you aren't in tip top shape. It is wonderful!

I was apprehensive about going there, but it turned out to be a good experience. It's smaller than the Roseville and Brooklyn Park, but the customer service is awesome along with the unlimited use of the hydromassage. It's membership is reasonable too.

For over 3yrs this has been my main Gym. Staff has been friendly, and the equipment is well maintained. If your getting back into fitness or first time gym goer this is a great place to start.
