MEF is the "Cheers" of Boulder. When you walk into the place, the staff has a friendly greeting, trivia question for the day, helpful information on use of equipment or on the classes that are offered upstairs. Also, there is a place to sit and talk to friends and staff that is comfortable and inviting. I absolutely LOVE MEF.

My husband and I have been members of Mountains' Edge Fitness for many years, especially like their classes which really motivate me to keep working out. Sometimes I visit the club 4-5 times in a week. Mountains Edge relocated to the Broker Inn this past fall and I enjoy coming to the new location, a cleverly designed retro look. The location feels spacious and the upstairs fitness classroom is ideal. The Broker's kitchen down the hall is used occasionally for catering and baking, sometimes we're working out to the warm smell of cinnamon. There are a huge variety of classes for all levels of ability and interests--cardio, sports fitness, interval training, weights, yoga, balance, stretching etc. The instructors are top notch, enthusiastic, take care that you exercise properly and encourage you to push yourself just a bit more. Thank you for keeping me in shape. The front desk crew are super! Friendly, welcoming and it puts a smile on my face to walk in the door to a friendly greeting and the daily trivia question. Bottomline--this club is more than just the facilities, it's also the people who use it and the people who manage it, that make coming to work out a highlight of our day. Love you guys!

Last week I went to Jan's Hip Hip Hooray workout class at Mountains' Edge Fitness...And let me tell you, my hips are hooraying:) Jan uses the perfect balance of stretching and strength training techniques that are comfortable for people who have hip injuries or who simply want to increase their range of motion. This class is suitable for all age and flexibility ranges. — at Mountains Edge Fitness.

Be warned!! Mountain's Edge has moved from its old location in the Table Mesa Shopping Center to the disgusting, dirty, run down Broker Inn. It now is set up where the restaurant and bar used to be: filthy carpet, holes in drywall, dirt/dust everywhere and the smell of old fish (I assume from back when the Broker was cool and famous for its shrimp cocktail). The equipment is extremely old and the membership is no bargain for what you get. Look elsewhere for your fitness needs if cleanliness and equipment mean anything to you.

I loved Mountain's Edge. I recently moved away for business but while i lived in Boulder i had a great experience here. I'm kind of a geek and when i first joined I pretty much knew nothing about fitness or gym culture. Everyone i met there was kind, helpful and non-judgmental and it was a very encouraging environment. The trainers there are great too. I think anyone from an avid gym patron to someone who's never been on an elliptical would enjoy working out here. Thanks for taking the 'edge' off getting healthy guys!

I love Mountains' Edge Fitness! Coming from someone who used to hate going to the gym, I can truly say that this gym has changed my perspective on working out. Not only does this gym have friendly and knowledgeable staff always available to help, but the equipment is always kept nice and clean. I never had to wait in line to use the equipment which is definitely a plus for me!I also love the variety of classes that are currently offered. They are made to suit all gym members of all ages and skill level. This was a perfect fit for me because I immediately felt welcomed in many of the classes I had never tried before (ie Cycling). One of the most important aspects I loved about this gym was feeling welcomed. It motivated me to want to come back and truly is "where I belong."I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone!

I've been a member at MEF for years. They have really nailed it: great equipment and classes, expanded hours that really work for the busy professional, convenient location, and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I recommend checking them out!

I took the balance and strength class here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the level of difficulty, and the attitude of the other members, and instructor.I am 23, and exercise daily, so i figured a class like this wouldnt be much of a challenge, especially when i considered that i was the only male in the class, and the only person under 30. I was wrong. Everyone was encouraged to listen to their own body, while still pushing themselves. At the end of the hour long class, I was drenched in sweat, clenching the handrail on the way down the steps, and smiling ear to ear. Highly recommended class for people of all ages and abilities.

I love taking Jen's pilates class on Monday mornings to do some great stretching and core strengthening. Jen's teaching style focuses on each individual listening to what their body needs that day, not on everyone performing a certain number of reps in sync with each other. She provides a variety of ways to perform each exercise in case anyone has bad knees, wrists, etc. so that everyone gets the most out of the class. Jen also shows different ways to make each exercise harder or easier so that you can push yourself as much as you like. I always leave class feeling refreshed and ready to start another week.
