Personal trainer Susan is amazing. I started training with Susan back in July and I was immediately impressed by her professionalism and her eagerness to create a work out plan to help ease me back into weight training and to get me motivated and stay focused. Susan helped me focus on proper lifting form and I steadily saw my strength gains weekly while avoiding injury. Susan is a great motivator and it was an absolute pleasure to have worked with her. I highly recommend her training services.

Highly disappointed on the Kids care. For some one who has never done their care, and tried it- I will never again. I also haven't been contacted after directly messaging them about this horrible experience. I walked in not knowing how the process was, no one greeted. A guy and a woman were there staring at me and I let them know my child is 10 months and wanted to try them out. All they asked was to sign in and I guess I was supposed to know what to do next. Anyways, they told me I can leave my son in the play area. Once trying to figure out what the right place would be, I was informed Their was an infant area. Let me tell you, it was a total mess in there. No where to leave my son or even walk in. I sat him in a corner, hoping the staff would engage and no one did. However, I let the staff there know , if my son cries a lot- come and grab me so I can get him. I get a call after my class was finished, and I immediately went to the kids area. I was approached by the staff that my son had an “accident”. I panicked, my child's face was so red and agitated when I saw him. The “accident” was that he pooped. Anyways, when asking the staff if he was crying I got “he was crying an awful lot” not sure how trained their staffing is with infants, i would never trust them again. I understand they don’t diaper change etc, but when reading their policies letting your child cry for a bit is uncomfortable enough- leaving my baby crying for about 50 minutes is ridiculous. Would not recommend leaving infants there at all.

Been a member on and off since around 2008. Great value over. I left Connecticut at one point and dealing with ABC financial (company that is contracted out to deal with the financial part of your membership) was a nightmare. They where telling me facts about the contract that where not actually in the contract and requesting things like mail showing my new address as proof that I moved out of CT. Main problem was I was in training on a military base with mail restrictions and in the Middle East the 2 times I tried to cancel and they weren’t at all helpful when I told them that wasn’t really an option and there was nothing in the contract that I saw about this. Terrible company to deal with but was able to cancel the membership after about a year of trying to navigate ABCs cancellation policy.Overall gym is one of the best values in CT. Been to every location in Connecticut. Few pros/ cons:1) They get busy at times and some locations get unbearably packed even before work but the google tool is pretty accurate in seeing what location is empty at what times so it’s easy to plan around that.2)They where 24 hours for a while at some locations so that was convenient. I believe they’ll bring that back when the pandemic is over but I haven’t heard anything official.3)The staff is friendly and always super helpful and honestly never had a negative experience outside the whole ABC financial situation. Went to school with a lot of current and former employees and I could genuinely say they hire people with good integrity and values. I’d definitely recommended but just be ready for some lies and difficulty when/if you ever need to cancel. The process is again done through ABC financial so I don’t want to make it seem like the edge is the problem but ABC does have a 1.1 stare rating and the edge chooses to contact that responsibility to them. Just be aware of that beforehand.4) The cardio Cinema is absolutely amazing. That alone is worth the already low monthly price.Hope this review helps y’all make an informed decision from a long time customer.

After being a regular at the Fairfield Edge, which is another exceptional gym, I have been even more impressed by the facilities, staff and members at Trumbull. This gym is a 5 minute drive from our new place, and as much as I love Fairfield, the Trumbull Edge is our go-to gym now.The equipment is new and in good condition, and the layout is optimized for a smaller space for the cable cross / functional trainers / individual stations. The free weight section is large, airy and well-lit, with multiple (I stopped counting at 4!) Smith racks and ample benches and weights. While the gym is markedly smaller than Fairfield or LA Fitness Norwalk, the natural light and intelligent layout makes it very easy to navigate. The smoothie bar has proper seating that is out of the way of incoming/outgoing traffic, making it much more of a social venue than other gyms. The crowd is fit and serious about fitness, which is an added motivator. There are small groups of younger people, but none of the idling around and lollygagging, so anyone concerned about this dynamic can rest assured it is not an issue at all.It does get crowded at the usual times (weekdays 5-7 pm and 9-10 am weekends), but so does every other gym. I would add another functional trainer and Hammer Strength individual bicep station, but this is nitpicking.I would also add that as a gay couple new to Connecticut, we have felt nothing but welcome by the staff and personal trainers, and have found the members across all ages to be almost univerally polite, considerate, friendly and sociable. This is definitely not the case in many other gyms, even gyms in supposedly "progressive" cities/towns, so is a welcome additional plus point.

4/2/2021 Edit: It's been over a year and they're still emailing me. No link in their email to unsubscribe. No place on their website to unsubscribe.4/21/2020 Edit: I have worked with ABC Financial and cancelled my account months ago. Today I find that they have charged me again for the yearly $49.99 fee.Previous post:This company has the worst cancellation policies. You're locked into a year-long contract. When I spoke to the manager about canceling, he told me the only way to do it was by registered mail. What company in this age has such antiquated policies? They use a third-party vendor to handle the cancellations so the phone numbers direct to that other company who has no authority to do anything other than to "look into it" and read their policy to you. I was told by this other company, ABC Financial, that I could cancel by email. This was not what the manager had told me so whether that's their policy to direct people to the registered mail to make it more difficult or if he flat out lied, I'm not sure. When canceling, they still make you wait another 30 days. If you were charged for anything, they will not give you any refund if you have an active policy. So beware, you will get a yearly equipment maintenance fee of $49.99 every year in addition to the monthly membership. My trainer quit because he was being pushed by management into being a salesperson and upselling me on their supplements. Rotten policies all around. No care for the customer.

I have not gone to the gym since COVID started. I am also 65 years old. I was charged and paid my annual fee in august at that time I also had to put I it writing that I wanted to end my commitment to Edge. I paid my September bill but was tile that I had to wait one month after sending in my cancellation. I received a October bill. Call the edge to have them credit my account. They refused and sent me to a credit agency Also beware that your personal trainer visits expire if not used in a year. Bad business. Not willing to work with the elderly especially during this COVID crisis. Poor management

Staff are nice and they keep the place clean. It’s a good gym that has everything you could want, whether you want the occasional Zumba, or self directed strength training. Cardio in the movie theater is an added bonus.

Everything you'd want except a pool and sauna... but it's only 10 bucks a month at the lower end. Some of their bigger clubs do have saunas though. Staff seems good, shakes are expensive but what else is new I just use my syntha-6. Has tanning, cardio cinema, turf section, good class selection and a lot of different sections to train. For my fellow MMA/wrestling athletes there is no Jacob's ladder but there are are legit stairclimbers.

Staff and management discriminates against bodybuilders. Staff and it's management does not handle complaints well. They have way to many trainers and staff members which convalud workout sessions. The gym has also become radically feminized.

Love this gym! Great vibe, friendly and happy staff. Impeccably clean always. 👌 my only wish is that they had more hip abducters as that is always in use. Amazing turf area for stretching, balance and core work. Overall, such a great place! …
