After reading the reviews, I thought I would write and address some of the things I've read.People that work there: I've found that everybody that works there is nice.Overcrowded : Sometimes, what really gets me is when people hog the equipment. Either using two or three machines going from one to another or sitting on the bench on the phone.Equipment : There are a lot of minor things wrong. ripped grips or worn pads on the machines. Still the things work for the most part. I'm not sure why they would let that stuff go. It's a small price to fix and I think makes the gym look bad. Still, they work, I guess.Signing the contract : The salespeople are trained to sell. You have to be an adult to join so, take responsibility and read the contract. No different that buying a car. They want you to read it on the computer screen, don't. Know what you're agreeing to. I hate ABC so I pay up front for a year.ABC Financial : The worst company I've ever dealt with. They make it impossible to talk to someone. It's hard to complain when you have no access so I guess they win. I would never give them my CC number. If you want to go work out for about 20.00 a month, this is a good value. Most of the people working out with you are nice, you can make some friends and stay in shape. The employees are nice and helpful. For the most part, the equipment works. I've been a member for about three years so, I must think it's OK.I hope this revue helps someone

You will be solicited by phone and by email with no options to unsubscribe because the Edge doesn't respect your wishes. The Edge also doesn't respond to equipment issues that you report. They just dont bother maintaining anything that isn't 100% broken. For example, one of their treadmills has an intermittently defective heart rate monitor. I assume that's not important enough for them to fix, so they don't bother. It works about half the time. Two of their other treadmills do not increase in incline if you set them to. For example if you attempt to incline from 5%-15%, the treadmill is about 50% likely to remain at 5%.I enjoy my time at the gym but I've come to understand that it has a business model that cares about its bottom line more than it cares about irritating its members. I paid cash for a year in advance. I suspect their business model relies on upselling extra training services and their retail products. I'm probably costing then more money than its worth by being a standard member. That's the only reason I can think of that they won't stop emailing me despite my many requests. They probably want me to stay home!If that doesn't bother you, then everything else is fine. They do a good job keeping the men's locker room clean.

This gym is inadequate for someone interested in serious strength training, as evidenced by the fact that the trainers have their clients doing "fluff and pump" (i.e. isolation/machine work, "functional" fitness, classes, etc.) They only have three squat racks despite having tons of floor space; the gym I normally train at has 12. Moreover, when I was here, someone hogged a rack for--get this--25 sets, which took over 2.5 hours. He would leave the rack for minutes at a time to go do something else and then return, all the while not allowing anyone to use the rack. The gym should amend their rules to prevent such behavior, or look into purchasing more racks. I will not be returning.

Great gym for about $20 per month. Hard to beat. The staff is excellent. Qualified people with great personalities. Only issue is that there is inadequate parking. It's very difficult to find a spot on weekends in the morning. Were told when the gym opened that more parking spaces would be added later, but that never happened.

Great Edge location. They have amazing group fitness instructors. It's always clean. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. There is also a theatre room which is unique.

I truly Love working out @ the Trumbull Edge. You have a knowledgeable and friendly staff and the personal trainers are exceptional. Greg Nichols is one of the best trainers I've seen and is highly dedicated to his craft and helping others reach their goals.

With Gyms popping up everywhere and most people getting into healthier and more active lifestyles. The trainers at The Edge in Trumbull, are amoung some of the best I've met. Trainer Gregory Nichols was not only very patient but very involved with my workouts. Making sure I hit my milestones, stay on track, and understanding to my failures. The best trainer and more of a friend than a buisness associate. If I had to (which I do) I recommend not only the Edge, but Gregory Nichols.

Love The Edge in Trumbull! Dylan is the best trainer...he has kicked my butt into shape over the past three months! By far the most knowledgeable trainer I've ever worked with. I highly recommend him!!

Greg Nichols is my favorite personal trainer! So knowledgable and easy to work with! And the gym itself is so much cleaner and better laid out than the Shelton Edge. Trumbull has all of the equipment I need.

I spend 100 dollars for a membership to this gym and the one time I try to bring them customers on "bring a partner to the gym week" they turn us down for the reason of not having a parent signature. That's money lost on your part, if you're gonna have that rule maybe put it up somewhere so I didn't just waste my time driving to the place. The gym is lovely but some people there could be real a holes.
