the gym is super nice and clean! machines are phenomenal and the staff is great. my favorite is grayson if you go there you should definitely say hi to him!

The renovations are nice, but still a few things to be fixed. Not to mention MANY of the reviews are very obviously fake/influenced. Pool has been broken for about 3 years now. Water filters have been red for months. Over half the time when I use the downstairs bathroom there’s either no toilet paper, paper towels, soap or an overflowing trash. Quite a few times there’s been all of what I listed missing in the bathroom. Glad that they added a few more machines and 5’s, but they should’ve kept one of the older bench presses since one doesn’t have a spot for weights and is uncomfortable (top rack is too high up, lower one is too low)

Instead of fixing the problems they already had with the sauna, pool, equipment. They renovated the gym by adding turf and added some more equipment. Sauna still doesn't work it's around 80°f. It is hotter outside on most days. Pool They just covered all the windows with wrapping. Lol but least the new equipment will last about 6 months. It's not like they fix it after it breaks.

I’ve been at this location for over a year now, all of the staff are phenomenal. I’ve interacted with an employee by the name of Greyson the most, and his level of optimism and ability to motivate/lead is admirable. Him and the entire Villa Maria team reflect these characteristics! They are extremely knowledgeable, and so involved with the members. On top of all of this, the equipment is in fantastic shape and maintenance has been extremely consistent throughout the entirety of my time here.

Here's a representative update: Today is Jan7 and promo material from October is still posted around the gym; water filter status still on 'red'. I even took photos. I replied to the management reply, below, and no changes have been made. We were told in August, 2021, this gym would begin a complete update. Five months later, manager says they have no idea when the updates will happen. Pool is still closed.(Original review from three years ago) Change is easy. Maintenance is difficult. TruFit made nice initial changes but the pool has consistent issues, they had no parking lot lights for four months, the only leg press machine has been out of service for two months, all treadmills are dated, the only upright stationary bike's display may take five minutes to come on, and even getting a new filter for the water station is ignored. The staff is nice, as helpful as they can be, but corporate apparently doesn't care much. It is the only option in West Bryan, they know that, but with any comparable option this location would not survive.

Love the gym and the atmosphere! The gm noah was very helpful and really motivated me to stick to my new goals this year! Ask for noah if you are wanting to get a membership!

I was really torn between TruFit and another gym in town but after talking to Noah it made my decision so much easier! He took the time to show me everything the gym has to offer and explain the different memberships and training packages. As a female college student it was nice to have someone willing to break down the prices and help me come up with a plan that would work best for the goals I want to achieve in 2023! Definitely recommend TruFit if you’re looking for a gym in Cstat!

The staff is friendly and the cleaning crew does a great job. The pool has not had water in it for a long time which I understand the costs can be expensive. However, the mens sauna has been broken and with only one heating element on for a long time. The last I heard, the sauna parts came in to fix it, but no attempt to follow through has been made. Can the sauna be fixed so it gets hot instead of warm, please? The other two TruFit saunas in town are solid with at least two heating elements.

The gym is really on the come up and the sales team and the manager Noah are amazing, passionate and very member oriented and always make sure people’s needs and requests are fulfilled and don’t leave any information out during sign ups. They make people feel extremely comfortable and after leaving this location once I am happy to be back in a more positive environment!

Pretty good gym! Lots of machines, so you’re never waiting for something. I wish they had more spin bikes on the mail floor so I can take video classes on them. I’d also love to see the pool filled soon! There are a few minor maintenance things that need work (soap dispensers in women’s locker room, lightbulb in women’s fry sauna) but it’s otherwise clean, large, and a comfortable place to workout in.
