Not a very roomy studio and Coach Justin is not inspirational in the least. I would not attend this studio again.

I love Orange Theory Fitness. I brought my mom in for a free trial class, and I quickly became a huge Orange Theory advocate. I love Orange Theory so much, that I always try to bring a family member or a friend in to try it, hoping they could possibly use it as their fitness regimen. I’ve been able to get my mom to come, I brought my best friend in Florida, and I’ve even gotten some co-workers to give it a try! I’ve been talking to my brother about it for months and when I went home to Florida from Seattle for the holiday season, he finally decided that he would come with me and give it a try. The day after Christmas, we went to visit my grandmother in Cape Coral Florida, and we were going to head back to south Florida. However, my eldest sister who was also at my grandmother’s house in cape coral, heard me talking about orange theory and she also wanted to come with us because she is looking for a new workout routine! I was so excited! I was going to bring my older siblings. We called the nearest OTF which was about 30 minutes away, and got into their evening class. My siblings were signed up for free, since it would be their first trial class. Before hanging up, the OTF representative asked if we could come in about 30 minutes early. We were at the mall, so we dropped my grandmother back at her home, changed clothes and then immediately headed towards our OTF class. We arrived at 6:42pm for the 7pm class. So, a little later than the 30 minutes. Upon checking in at the desk, the OTF representative informed my siblings that they would not be able to participate in today’s class. She said that we arrived too late, and that OTF has a very strict policy about arriving 30 minutes early. I have brought several people to OTF, and each time they have asked us to check in 15 minutes before the class. So, I definitely know that it is possible to still fill out forms and tour in 15 minutes. Also, if it is so important that a person arrives 30 min early at this location, then that needs to be extremely stressed when giving instructions by saying “If you don’t arrive 30 minutes early, then we won’t let you in the class.” Don’t ask “Are you able to arrive 30 minutes early?” My brother was very disappointed and kindly asked the lady if they could please quickly fill out the forms since no one had any health issues nor restrictions. The lady abruptly stated that we must reschedule. My brother continued to try to explain that we came from a distance and are heading back down to Miami right after the class. He was leaving to Georgia the next day, I was leaving to head back to Seattle the following day, and my sister was going to stay in ft Myers. The three of us had not been together in over 5 years and were really looking forward to sharing this activity together. The lady at the desk then makes everything worse by saying “Oh, you’re not from this area? Then this will have to be a drop-in class for you.” My brother not being familiar with the lingo, inquired what “drop in” meant. The lady said that it would cost him $28 and he wouldn’t be able to get a free trial class because he doesn’t currently live in Ft Myers, FL. I Couldn’t believe this. My driver’s license was Indiana when I did my first free trial class in Pennsylvania. My mom has a Florida Driver’s license and did her free trial in Pennsylvania. My other friend I brought also did a trial class in south Florida without a Florida license. This was literally the very first time I had ever heard someone say this. The OTF representative then told my sister that since she lives in the area, she can reschedule and come back for a free class. My sister informed the lady that this experience has been such a bad one, that she is completely turned off from ever trying orange theory ever again. I am canceling, and no longer feel excited to share and bring new people to OTF if that’s how they are going to be treated on their first experience. However, this location decided it was best to lose 2 potentially new OTF customers and 1 active, promoting and loyal customer.

After signing up, buying the wristband and making payment I spent weeks connecting to the “zen desk” to get the app working. If I wanted to get a spot in class I had to call the studio, but then could not get into the class. The team working the desk at Six Mile Cypress said I would get better service if I keep contacting the help desk myself. It has been totally frustrating and I went in to cancel. I had to wait for the manager to call me. Now I’m being charged for another month. The manager says she must make the charge for ANOTHER month as is written in signup contact—even though class registration doesn’t work. I have tried to escalate my concerns with no luck finding the franchise owner. Don’t expect reasonable service on agreements and payments.

Great staff. Great workouts! Always challenges to keep things interesting-- especially for those who are competitive, but the staff do a great job of detailing the competition to you and ensuring that you are doing the best YOU can each and every class.
