Onelife Fitness - Greenbrier Gym

I had a horrible experience on multiple accounts with the child care service at only this location. One worker said, "she didn't believe that my son had to use the restroom" and he had an accident due to her negligence. They are rude, unfriendly, scream at the children and myself on multiple occasions. I miss the previous manager, it's like the whole place is run down. There are never towels, cleaning supplies or anyone at the front desk. It is like walking into to a high-school

-Run down equipment-spray bottles and paper towels always empty-frequently broken equipment that takes weeks to see a repair-only takes exact change but does not list exact change prices including taxI honestly feel like they took all of the broken busted equipment from red mill, Virginia Beach Blvd., Princess Anne, Norfolk locations which are all beautiful and threw them into one gym. Greenbrier One life is like the ugly toxic friend no one wants to talk about but we all know it’s there.Literally live 2 minutes away from this location and drive 25 to go to any other spot it’s so run down.

I had completely lost my keys after working out on the stair master and thought I was losing my mind. Malia and Orlando went above and beyond to help. Orlando had a keen eye and actually spotted them inside the machine. Somehow they had managed to wedge inside the stairs. What a hassle that would've been. I am thankful for their wonderful help and getting me home! Also this gym has great music when I forget my headphones.

My daughter had a membership here. She has cancelled it, but keeps getting a run around. They wouldn't let her cancel in person. Was told she had to send a letter. She did this and her credit card was still charged. The charge was disputed with credit card company and now she is getting a bill in the mail. I assume this will lead to them trying to ruin her credit. Planet fitness is much cheaper and will allow you to cancel without harassment.

I would give it a five bc it's a great gym and I have been going there for over 12 years...I think they need to replace those new benches with some more better bc those benches wobble when you add alot of weight to them...also what happen to the regular incline? My main reason for giving it the review that I gave it is bc I feel like gym should be 24 hrs Monday through Thursday and maybe close at 11 on Fridays or something. I work second shift and it is very hard to get a workout in at a decent time and I'm sure I'm not alone, but it would be great if the gym change it's hours...even if it's to midnight or something. I think a lot of the gym members feel this way..atleast the ones I talk to. Another thing is the Greenbrier location one when this certain girl works there she always flick the lights on off when it's close to 11 pm ... its like she telling us to leave or something..just a little rude to me being we spend alot of money on a membership just to get rushed out like that near closing time.

This is the best gym ever! It has all the newest equipment all in one place and Joey Gillispie, the assistant manager is super friendly as is the rest of the staff. Great experience.

I just became a member of Onelife about a week ago. I joined because i am in the process of joining the Chesapeake Police department and want to lose some weight and build cardio for the academy. The gym staff is amazing so far and the training staff is great they actually made time to help me setup personal training sessions and nutrition help i am an overweight male and was very weary of joining such a large gym due to confidence and my size but have actually had people give me a boost in confidence and am able to workout without feeling like im being laughed at. This is definitely a better experience from when i went to the location on va beach blvd 10+ years agoWhere i was told i was too fat and wouldn't fit on the machines. The staff at this location is awesome and answers my questions when i need information. The only thing i would change is having a staff member available to help explain certain equipment as some of the equipment is hard to understand how to use properly. 5 stars would definitely recommend

Damien at Greenbrier always takes care of his patrons! He always comes in first thing in the morning with a bright, positive attitude, always has the door open on time, is friendly, helpful and attentive. Collectively we all get excited when we know it's him opening. The gym itself is awesome the staff does an amazing job of keeping the gym clean and stocked with cleaning supplies and the locker room is always clean as well. I absolutely love being a member here.

I’ve been going to this location for a few months now and I really enjoy it. It’s always clean and the staff members are always friendly and willing to help. They have a large selection of different types of workout equipment as well as access to personal trainers and classes.

Equipment is well maintained. Plenty of whatever for whatever your needs are that day. The Nutrition Corner is greatly appreciated and very helpful for finding whatever you're looking for. Clean locker rooms and great staff. Saturdays and Mondays are my favorite days to go. A little busy in the evenings but relatively unoccupied during the day
