This place is a joke I was there this morning and all I heard was employees talking about another coworker who open the gym late and and if it's who I think it is his name is steven and he is the only one that had customer service and keept the gym clean and organized the other ones be sitting down on there cell phones doing nothing...

DO NOT MAKE A MEMBERSHIP AT THIS GYM. I wish I could rate this gym negative stars. My fiancé and I have been trying to cancel his membership for MONTHS. I have read their contract numerous times (which is a complete scam to begin with), and we followed all necessary steps to cancel the membership. Not only did they not cancel the membership, they charged him $90 this month (where the regular charge would $45, and the cancellation fee is $20. I have no idea who is doing the math in this facility, but clearly it's not working out.). I see no other option but to get the law involved in such a practice because you are clearly dealing with thieves. If anyone from Retro Fitness is reading this: don't bother replying with an answer like "please reach out to our manager or facility" because that's exactly what I've been doing. Just cancel the membership. Please.

It's unbelievable that in the 21st century I need to send a letter in the mail to cancel my membership. And when I send the letter they don't accept my cancellation. I DON'T WANT MY MEMBERSHIP

Wish i could give them -5 stars, just look for another gym, it’s impossible to cancel the membership, they will charge you anyways and avoid at any cost cancel it

This place has ZERO customer support. Been trying to get a manager to cancel my membership for sometime now, but whenever I get time off work and I go in they're unavailable. They're a scam and should be shut down for running a business without proper management available to the customers.

Update: Spoke to a manager and we are working on a resolution.I cancelled my membership a year ago and they are still charging me. I have gotten a new card since and it’s still charging my account.

Refused to cancel my membership even though I went down there in person several times. Their machines stay broken for years at a time, and their bathrooms are a health hazard.

I wish I could give no stars! The staff is rude. The gm (harold) lies about what the gym has to offer and then rips you off and the personal trainers aren’t even certified or licensed! DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM! It’s a scam! It’s so dirty!

If you value quality in any form, work out somewhere else! There’s MANY reasons why there’s they have this number of 1 star reviews. My first impression of this gym is that it’s dirty. In my experience with past gyms this one could use some work. Most of the machines on top level don’t work, or if they do, they function at a sub par level with buttons malfunctioning constantly. I went on a weekend once at night and walked in to find no one at the counter! I later was informed that they only work Monday through Friday leaving it unattended on the weekends. As a young woman it was a bit of a fearful experience as the locker room has no door and without attendants who’s stopping anyone (with or without a membership) from entering. On top of everything I called recently to ask about how to cancel my membership and they told me that I needed to send a certified LETTER, yes a LETTER, to some random business in Arizona! I found this incredibly shocking and could only see this going poorly for myself, as the employee told me they’ve had lost letters before and people charged months after they mailed it. After a simple 10 minute Call to ABC fitness solutions (the company where I was supposed to mail my letter) a representative canceled my membership with ease. Which leads me to believe that Retro Fitness management is instructing their employees on this crazy round about way of cancellations to force costumers to pay for more months as letters are being ‘lost in the mail’ or whatever they have you believe.Anyway I will say the in person customer experience is good I’d say, the employees seem happy and generally helpful. They do also offer some neat services I hadn’t seen before. All in all if you want a good gym experience go elsewhere. And if you fell into the trap like myself just CALL and cancel before wasting time and money on a letter. I hope management improves and does better as id love to use the gym that’s SO close to where I live but enough is enough:(
