Tanning beds are always broken. You get up there and are ready to tan and the bed won’t turn on, then the front desks staff tell you’re trying to turn it on wrong (there’s a start and stop button, not difficult to figure out) and then nobody will come up to fix it and they say, oh sorry, guess you can’t tan today….same with the pool, broken and they won’t even have a sign up. The pool heater is still broken after 4 months.

Been a member here for roughly 7-8 years. Dependable workout location…24 hours, usually clean, much safer when we had plainclothes off-duty CPD in the evenings, but I digress.Great gym experience until I had to prove vaccination. Would have been 5 stars if XSport had not bent the knee.

8/7/22 updated. Dropped 2 stars. Compared to the suburban facilities this place is dilapidated and dirty. Bathrooms are mediocre at best when it comes to cleanliness. Gym equipment is barely maintained. Tanning beds are literally filthy. Unacceptable.

The gym has a really strong smell, the bathroom was never clean, very busy. And when you come for the “trial” they are very pushy in trying to get you to become a more expensive version of the plans. I honestly wouldn’t recommend if you are into working out in a clean space. I guess it’s what you get for the price 🤦🏻‍♂️ …

This place has the potential to be great, the equipment, the space, I can get a great workout here for sure! What is bad is the staff, little to no enforcement of the rules, the clientele can get out of hand, jackets being layed out on benches/ equipment, trash, dumbbells scattered about especially in main workout area, I've seen people with no business working out layed out on floor connected to an outlet with full street clothes and coat, people up to no good hanging out making the environment feel unsafe at times. Improve the staff, pay more, get rid of the $9.99 price tier, charge for the parking, up the rates and equipment people in this area can afford to pay more for a secure safe upgraded place! And stop false advertising for 24hr gym, it is not right! I'm paying forty something a month because I can only workout at night and I haven't been able to use this gym barely since the beginning of the new year! So ridiculous 🙄

I love it cuz its the ONLY 1 with a indoor track for those cold months. Everyone is always friendly at this location, others as well. This is the main one I use. Get membership where you pay for 1 yr and get a yr FREE. I go to others for other reasons. One on State st downtown has a pool that I LOVE and rock wall 2 climb.. its VERY high so be aware.

Front desk staff is rude an unprofessional. The parking validation was not working, so the girl at the front desk told me to go ahead and work out and that she would take care it after I finished my workout. Well after my workout she was gone, so I guess that was her way of taking care of it. I then tried to explain my situation with the guy at the front desk but he just kept pointing to the broken parking validation machine and says read it. All he had to do was explain how to handle the situation with the parking garage but nope he just kept saying read the machine. This is horrible customer service and I would not advise anyone to join this gym. Will be canceling my membership and going to a gym where customers are valued.

There are a lot of great classes @ this location. Love water, try Zumba in the pool. I get in and get out. A lot of times there is a musty smell. I know its a gym but it doesn’t need to smell like one. Like a public restroom, you know where you are, but it doesn’t have to SMELL.

Pros - Convenient ( cheap, plenty of equipment, plenty of space in the early morning/late evening, & plenty amenities).Cons - customer service & just the people overall that come to this gym.5 stars goes to the Piper Alley location. Longer drive but better vibes.

Too pushy with the personal training, told them I will let them know if I do want it, but they kept pushing it asking “so when do you want it” as if I’ve already agreed to it. This isn’t just once or twice but maybe 3-4 times already. I was really starting to like the gym however the workers made me feel uncomfortable coming here. They were all standing in front of me waiting for me to respond. It is extremely rude and unethical by making customers feel bad by not doing any personal training. Don’t get me wrong, the gym here is nice, just extremely unprofessional workers here. Sometimes it smells really bad upstairs too.I like to lift weights and they have a ton to offer, also the pool is usually empty as well. these are some pros.
