TruFit Athletic Clubs - Longmire

Front desk said all I had to do was send an email to cancel my membership then turned around and said I signed a contract and now cannot! I have never been at a gym where I cannot cancel when I want. This is ridiculous there gym is small has limited classes and is in poor condition. I highly recommend you find a gym that serves it people that pay for their lights to stay on.

There's a new sheriff in town and the Longmire Tru Fit, after 2 years of neglect, is finally being cared for by manager, Lupita. The pool is getting weekly cleaning and maintenance. And the daytime staff, RJ and Jeffrey, are creating a cleaner, friendlier and welcoming club. Longmire in the past, a neighborhood, boutique club was well-attended by all ages. With the closing of day care, weekend hours, cancelling all classes and not maintaining the facility (at one time there were nine "out of order" signs on the machines, the pool was dirty and the floors went for weeks without being vacuumed), membership dwindled drastically. The few of us who have stayed loyal through these dark years of Longmire are thrilled that Longmire is back on its way up. That's a positive for the Tru-Fit brand, which has earned a well-deserved black eye for letting down its Longmire members. 5 stars when we get our classes back.

We ended up quitting when the showers were always broken and the metal beams over the pool were rusty and the sauna was always broke. My wife told me the womens rest rooms looks like something from a truck stop. The people running the place would let kids constantly swim and play in the adult pool when they had their own pool. Its always been a grody place from when it first opened. I dont know where they get off charging a monthly maintenance fee when no maintenance was ever done. That place is a disgrace.

DO NOT JOIN!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I first called looking for a pool to swim laps in and was told they have a standard-sized lap pool. Came to find out this was a lie, and additionally, the pool has now been shut down for a few days, from what I've heard, due to cleanliness issues.Due to finding a different pool to use (the only reason I joined), I tried to cancel my membership this past Monday. When I joined, I was told my membership was month-to-month, cancel anytime, no penalties, which is a big reason of why I felt comfortable joining. Now I'm being told I need to pay the next month's fee and a cancellation fee. I was shown the contract I signed, and come to find out, there is a second page with hidden fees on it that is below the last signature line, and when signing on the computer, was not visible or acknowledged.I've also been trying to cancel for over 2 days now. I originally went in person but the 2 workers couldn't help me and also didn't have any contact info for corporate. I got an email address that I was told I could message and cancel. When I sent a message, I got a response saying I actually couldn't cancel by email and needed to call a number. I called the number at 2pm yesterday, had to leave a voicemail, and have not yet received a response.Zero professionalism, the worst customer service, and sleazy tactics to get you in and take as much money as possible, which is despicable in a college town where many people may not be able to pay over $100 to cancel a useless membership.Do what I didn't do, and listen to the reviews. Don't join.UPDATE:I tried sending emails twice to the email provided in their response and I have only been contacted by billing. The individual who contacted me is enforcing the sleazy behaviors of the staff at this TruFit. Disgusting organization through and through.

I’ve been going to trufit on longmire for well over a year now and Lupita has been there every morning to greet me with a smile. I’ve been to several gyms and this one is by far my favorite. It’s always clean, quiet, and if anything gets broken, it’s fixed in a timely manner. I don’t get gym anxiety here and that is a big thing for me. I feel comfortable and i love everything about it!-Trista Neagle

They are really working on this location!!! The aerobics classes are fabulous with the rec pool being clean and clear and chemically balanced. The locker rooms are clean as is the rest of the facility. The front desk personnel and all managers are helpful and accommodating to your needs! Give this location a try…. It’s a hidden jewel!

I’ve been a member at this Gym since February 2021, and I love it. It’s super convenient to my job and home, and is hardly ever super busy so I can get in and out in a short time frame between clients! Lupita is the sweetest and is so friendly and willing to help if you have any questions or need anything. My biggest reason for staying at this gym is how comfortable the atmosphere is, the music is never too loud (even though I listen to my own) the other members are super nice and respectful. Even though I don’t talk to other regulars I see, it feels a little like a family, we know if we need a spot, someone else on the floor has your back! They’ve been doing a lot of upgrades and equipment improvement which is super awesome and the gym is always super clean! They have someone constantly moving around the floor sanitizing equipment which I appreciate and plenty of access to napkins and sanitizer to wipe a machine before and after you use it. I just love this little diamond in the rough, and it’s not even rough, gym.

I go to this Tru Fit location when I’m looking for a quieter workout space. One of the cables machines has been broken for months and now half of the other one appears to be broken as well. The steam room or sauna in the men’s locker room is non-functional with no sign to indicate whether it’s broken or turned off as a COVID protocol. Beyond that, it is at moderately cleaner than the S Texas Ave location likely due to the more mature clientele.

One year ago when we started we thought having the choice of 2 swimming pools was going to be great. We later found out that one pool was down 98% of the time the pool on Longmire is out of commission 85% of the time. It’s out again going on week number two and we’re waiting for the covered wagon to deliver the chlorine. It was supposed to be fixed by tomorrow but today they said they have no idea when the delivery is going to be made and there’s no sense in complaining or evening and asking the manager or contacting the corporate office just pay your money pretty much and wait. The sad part Is we’ve just been swimming in a cesspool for who knows how long. #SwimmerBeware

I had the best start up experience I have ever had at a gym. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Maria was so sweet and help made my first time visiting any TruFit gym great. They are also very up tp date with their COVID-19 cleanliness. I definitely recommend this location.
