TruFit Athletic Clubs - Longmire

This gym is well run and exceptionally clean. There is never a speck of paper on the ground. The staff is friendly. It could use some new equipment, but it is never too crowded, and it is conveniently located.

I was visiting from out of state with my family and we got a week pass to use the gym. The staff were kind and accommodating. Lupita working at the front desk took great care of us :) overall a lovely facility and a great experience. Thank you!

I love how close and convenient this location is to my house, also since it’s smaller it’s way less crowded than other locations in town and I’ve never had to worry about waiting for any equipment. It’s definitely a different crowd than what you usually find at the Texas Ave location. I love that there’s a pool and there’s water classes offered at this location as well. However, almost of the classes are offered during the work day (ie 8:00 to 5:00) and are never on the app so normally if I am able to make one of the evening classes, I check in an hope for the best. I’m also very bummed that this location isn’t open late or on the weekends. I prefer the size of this one but wish they had extended and weekend hours

I like this place, it’s calm and collected. I enjoy my workouts here also the staff is very nice and helpful with anything I need.

"I have been a member of TruFit Longmire since it was Aerofit years ago. It has gone through many management issues over the years but recently, new management has turned this club totally around. I use the pool for water aerobics, and it has been consistently clean and properly maintained. I also use the locker room to change and the cleanliness and supplies are in good order again. It really is night and day for a turnaround. It is worth giving another shot. It is the only pool in south College Station and we are fortunate to have it as part of our community! "

I will never recommend this place to anyone. I will take every chance I get to tell everyone of the terrible business practices that are used here, this is a "soft scam Op" rather than a gym and it is unfortunate that people are tricked into joining (with the low rates). This company will harvest money from your upon cancelling regardless of what you do... whether it be one month, two months, three months, or 16 months of extra payments, they will find ways to harvest money against your will. Save yourself the headache and constant phone calling to a voicemail. DO NOT STEP FOOT INTO A TRU FIT LOCATION. Avoid at all costs. These people are sick & they can hide behind paperwork, but it does not excuse their unethical business practice. By now, you, as the viewer can see that there are multiple of these reviews discussing the continuous charges despite cancellations, this is *NOT* a consumer problem, this is *NOT* a failure to understand policy problem, this is a poor-business-practice problem.

I’ve been at this location for a little over two years, and had seen its conditions worsen, however things are now looking better than ever, new plans for the layout, hours, and customer service! Thanks a lot to RJ for this along with always greeting guests with a smile and a greeting, it goes a long way

I am a water aerobics instructor at TruFit. I can truly say that since Greg started working with the pools and Lupita became manger, the pool, that we do water aerobics in, is the cleanest and best it has ever been. Lupita does the work of three people. The locker rooms are also much cleaner.

We joined primarily to take advantage of the pool. The pool was NASTY. Nasty. Nasty. Gross. Sand on the bottom of the pool, water green and smelly. Definitely a health problem. Definitely nasty. We went once to a class in the small pool and decided it was worth fighting Trufit to get out of our membership. Now pool is closed for the near future. Health department should get involved.

Genna, Jenny, Kennedy, and Alyssa are great with the kids in the nursery. It’s nice when I rush out of the house with 4 kids to get to my 8am class and they are here on time with a smile on their faces. Thank you.
