To whom it may concern, this gym location has low standards all across the board. Cleaning, staffing, machine function. Etc. Mens Bathroom always smells of urine. One of the urinal has been broken for weeks. Pool, more often than not smells like it gets cleaned once a week. The new staff, Joyce, there has minimal knowledge of anything that goes on there. Also, has no costumer service. She's new at this position and it seems like she is on a power trip. This location has a child care amenity but when I asked if it were available she responded with "No, our other locations do though." If I wanted to go to the other locations I would. The lack of training and common respect is extremely noticable. I will drive the extra 10 minutes to the Texas Avenue location just to avoid this location.

I've been usijg this facility for several years and like its smaller size and the convenience of it's location in south College Station. In the past couple of months though I've seen the gym not uphold their responsibility to make sure that essentials like water fountains and air conditioning are working. The rotation of managers I see come through have no idea when things will be fixed and seem pretty powerless to make sure things are taken care of. It shouldn't take 2 weeks to fix the AC, especially at the beginning of summer.I hope someone in corporate is reading this, as I think that is where this needs to be addressed and a solution found. Please make sure repairs are handled quickly and that members like myself don't need to post like this when we simply want a place to rely on for our workouts.

I’ve been using TruFit locations around BCS for a few years now(mostly the Bryan locations) and never thought much of them. I visited the Longmire location today for the first time in almost a year and was really impressed by the staff running the facility! Although the location is small and has it’s fair share of issues, the staff there(Zack, Joyce, and David) were going above and beyond to make sure the club was a reflection of their work ethic and how much they care. I couldn’t help but notice how they were cleaning and picking the entire time I was there on top of greeting members coming in and out. I was able to have a great workout there, because just how clean and tidy the gym was. I’ll be sure to make that location my goto thanks to the staff there. Keep it up!

Bad facilities, failed to mention that after your year long membership ends that they start charging you month to month. My debit card was hacked, had to get a new one and they reached out three months after my contract had ended to say that I was late on payments and would be turning it over to a collection agency if I did not come in. Had zero budge, overall would not recommend to anyone

So I am never really the type of person to write negative reviews, but I am writing this more so because I have had an ongoing negative experience for over a month now in regard to the same issue.Let's start with the positives. I initially signed up to be a member of TruFit, as I did not want to go to the rec on campus due to the crowdedness, and it was easier to go off campus instead of on. Due to this, TruFit is never busy. While the facility is smaller, they have all the equipment one could need. At the rec, the weight area is always beyond crowded. Here, I am usually 1 of 2-3 in that area with an addition 2-5 in the rest of the gym. Additionally they have a pool which I really wanted in a gym, and TruFit is the only location to have this in the area. Now to the situation. As many may know, when you sign up for a gym, they always insist on a free consultation where they try to pitch personal training sessions to you. Now I have never believed in personal training. I am not going to pay $30-$40 per 30 minute session. At my age, no one is worth that much. After my consultation they pitched this 3-Pack where you could get 3 sessions for $69. This was $23 per session which was fine, and I knew and emphasized I would never sign up again. Kodi (who is the manager of the personal training programs) set me up with a trainer named Kori (I was definitely confused by these names being basically identical at first). I had my first and second session with Kori and they were fine. One issue I had was Kori rescheduled on me several times due to things that came up in his life. I am a very accommodating and understanding person, and I am flexible. Whenever we had our third session scheduled, I had to reschedule for the next day as my car was in the auto shop and I literally could not get there. Kori said he would be able to do that following weekend. I messaged him on Friday and Saturday to confirm our session. He left me on read both times. I honestly never saw Kori again after that second session or heard from him. About 2 weeks ago, I went up to Kodi while at the gym to discuss this and inform her I never got my third session and I would like to since I paid for it. She seemed empathetic and told me should would reach out to some higher ups to adjust my dates for my 3-Pack ,since I was about a month past the date that it was supposed to end, and told me I would get a new trainer soon for my third session. Well, weeks have gone by, and I have not heard anything. Therefore, this has really been the only negative experience I have had regarding specific people in a gym. I hope this review allows Kodi to reach out to me and get this worked out. At this point I would expect something more than just my third session. I don't need a refund, but having an additional 3 free sessions on top of the one I am owed would be nice, and in my opinion sufficient, due to this process that never should have been this complicated.I apologize for my novel, but I do this with everything. I hope to hear back from TruFit soon.

Edit: Now that I have left a review and they told me I can reach out they still pretty much refuse to help. Everyday my experience is worse and worse. DO NOT COME TO THIS GYM. They do not care. They are very over priced and wont even keep up with their own standards. If I could leave a negative star I would. Since I have started I have only had bad experiences. Since day one they have been unwelcoming and judgemental with staff that did not want to help. A huge reason why I got a membership here was for the sauna and pool and they are both shut down. They are both shut down because they arent keeping up with chemicals in the water. They have had several broken machines for several weeks. I have been double charged for my account several times. The manager wanted to help me at first and now she does not really care. Also when I first signed up I did not know it was a contract, and I was also told there was a 24 hour one in bryan which is why I got the membership for all trufits. When I brought that up on multiple occasions the manager never told me the other trufit was not 24 hours. When I came in for my first day I never got a true tour of the gym. I have only had bad experiences. It has truly made me want to stop coming to the gym. And the guest policy is aweful.

Lets start with the good the staff is polite and helpful. Some of the issues maybe caused by Covid but, here is what I found the steam room is broke and is not going to be fixed most likely, the pool is not in great shape and unguarded, I was never taken on a tour of the place prior to signing up so I thought all the stuff was working and in good shape. Currently the tanning beds are closed due to the pandemic but are eventually going to be opened back up.

The gym itself was wonderful! However, we moved due to job relocation. We went through the steps and filled out the paperwork. They asked use for some documentation, which took about a month and a half for us to give it to them (because we had already moved). Once we email and called about canceling after following all instruction, they had lost our cancellation paperwork from the month prior. They said they switched managers and policies. So we couldn’t cancel our membership anymore. We have paid for 6 months of a gym that is over 5 hours away, because they lost paperwork and can only cancel in person. It’s ridiculous. They shouldn’t have lost our paperwork, and lied to us about the cancellation policy. They ruined the good experience I had at their gym by not being professional and by not holding true to the prior contract. I will never go back and have told everyone about my experience. They are major in the college town, but have a terrible policy for the area.

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS GYM! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! Here’s the story: I had a contract with this gym and canceled the membership in August because I move 1.5 hours away from their gym. I sent them all the information they asked for, and they told me (by phone because they did not reply to my numerous emails) that my contract would be cancelled. My mother paid for the account, so I did not know that she was still being charged. I find out in January that she’s still being charged (different prices each month for some reason) and she ends up paying out the contract to be rid of them. I then talked to Chandler to try and get a refund. She said the situation was obviously not my fault because I was told my contract was cancelled in AUGUST! Then she said that the main offices didn’t want to give me a refund because they did not like the proof I gave of moving. So, I send her other forms. She says there’s no hope, and that was that. Then I talk to Paige and another admin worker, and they say it’s bad that I still got charged, so they have me send in MORE official documents. I sent in 7 different documents proving that I lived NOWHERE NEAR College Station. Then they did not reply for almost 2 weeks and tell me that even though they said I could, in the very least, get a refund for cancelling the contract, they refused that idea too. When I was talking to them in person (I drove an hour and a half there to hopefully get help), another woman came in with the SAME problem. She too was being charged after her membership was cancelled. Their business is a scam. Do not go there unless you intent to waste money. I have already been in contact with the better business bureau about their scam. Watch out and NEVER come here. It was NEVER worth it.

I like this gym, however, after the remodel i feel like there is less equipment. This is a great place to go to if you live in the area or want to use the pool. I rather drive an extra 5 minutes and go to the one on Texas Avenue
