TruFit Athletic Clubs - Longmire

I joined this longmire after its remodeling and most of the time use swimming pool, locker room, shower only. Never use the steam room. Everything seems good to me till today, no overcharge issue hygienic issue, or other issues yet. Hope this location can keep its performance. Though this place is not a high-end gym that everything is awesome, it's pretty good considering the money you paid. Will update if encounters something new.

The cardio and weight equipment is up to date and very nice. The place is clean with plenty of space. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to answer any questions. The pool was closed during my visit but it is nice to have that available once it opens. The lockers are spacious with ample room.

I have been going here for 3 months and I enjoy the atmosphere at the Longmire location! The staff is so nice and makes me feel welcome! It also helps that there is child care for my son too! Shout out to Jon and Lupita!

I read all the posts and was a little hesitant to sign up. We went in and checked it out and thought it was great. It seems like most of the comments are from people who were former Aerofit customers. I know change can be hard and can start complaints. We are so excited for the new location to open on Texas Avenue. We went to the Longmire location yesterday. My son has been wanting to swim, so this worked out perfectly for our family. Our daughter worked out with us yesterday too. Our younger kids stayed in the childcare area and thought it was fun. The value of what we are getting is awesome. Welcome to College Station, Tru Fit!

The price of membership is very good. The staff is nice. Nice lap pool. The sauna is nice. Showers are clean. Not very crowded to easy to move around. Safe for kids. Lots of classes I can't wait to try.

Do not join this gym. The classes available are not quality. The steam room isn’t cleaned properly. The machines are old. When I joined they had hot tubs available which was a huge seller for me. They closed them the following week and had no plans to reopen them. Sneaky, bad business to not inform your customers that you would be removing a major amenity from use. I tried to cancel my membership because I moved to NY. I was misinformed by staff at this location and it took three months to actually cancel because of poor management on their part, meanwhile they continued to charge me. I move a lot and as a result have had memberships at plenty of gyms across the country small and large. I have NEVER had a more difficult time canceling a membership. I tried to do everything they asked of me while trying to not be taken advantage of, but in the end I ended up still having to pay just so I could end the collection calls. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I STRONGLY recommend going to planet fitness.

This is the best gym in town price-to-quality wise. You get all the same (or 99%) stuff as at Gold's gym, but at half the price. The staff is very nice, and it generally seems like the new owners are trying to make this a successful business. They seem to fix things as they break (example: they fixed the shower heads that were broken within about 2 weeks. Gold's had broken stuff for years) The place is generally clean. It is at about it's capacity during the peak hours, but I don't seem to ever have to wait for a machine like I used to at the REC.This is hands down the best choice of gym around here. I really hope the owners won't start slacking off once it takes off.

Love me some workout! Although Aerofit is my gym of choice for now. I would like to see more classes. Why have a comment box if the staff does not use those comments??? I would love to see a CLEAN pool always! I would like to see the instructors get paid more, and not take it out of the patrons paycheck. Seems as if the owners purchase the gym, and want to consume the profits instead of putting it back into the gym. I understand it is a NEW gym...greed will get you nowhere.

The staff at Aerofit has no idea on anything. I wanted to register for Semi-private swim lessons for my kids and they had me call them 5-6 times before they knew what to do. I had to wait over a month to get the instructor set for the swim lessons.I wanted to cancel my gym membership since I wasn't using it. The guy at the front desk told me I need to CALL Villa Maria to cancel. I specifically asked if I could cancel over the phone and he said YES. I call them and they said I need to come in person to Villa Maria location to cancel (I called Twice and they told me the same thing). Today I drive all the way to that location and they tell me I just needed to send an email to the billing department. Seriously? They couldn't tell that when I called? They stressed that I needed to come in person and now this. Now I am still waiting to confirm my membership cancellation. What is the point of registering at the gym very close to the house and then driving 10 miles to cancel the membership? How is that convenient for the clients? I wouldn't recommend Aerofit to anyone.

Nice and clean, should have a bigger area for free weights, always crowded in this area. If you're into jogging, this is the place for you. They have a ton of treadmills, and nice ones at that. I'm not too much into jogging so not kick off an attraction. Would be nice if they could keep the water bottles full and supply a small workout towel
