Training with Steven and joining the studio has been one of my best decisions! I was very nervous at first about training in a small group with others, but the sessions are so small and judgement free! You work at your own pace and Steven makes sure you are performing the exercises right to help reach your goals. I have been going for a couple months and already feel stronger and notice some physical changes already. However, it is definitely a process and important to stay patient and persistent. Steven is very knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about, he has his clients best interests in mind and is personable with everyone. I highly recommend if you are new to strength training and want someone to help guide you through the process of achieving your goals! It has been so helpful for someone like myself who had zero clue where to even get started.

I have been working with Steven for about a year and a half now. I started because I was lost when it came to working out and was too intimidated with bigger gyms in town. I didn't know what to expect when I started as I hadn't lifted weights like this before but Steven eases you into everything, and never makes you do something you aren't comfortable with. I was scared to do band assisted pull ups at first, but overtime built up to them and now enjoy them! My fave is barbell back squats!I enjoy the small group atmosphere and the vibe of the gym. It's an inclusive space and I enjoy chatting with the other members as well! Steven is also like a walking encyclopedia. You can ask him a question and he will have an answer, and tell exactly what book or YouTube video to check out to learn more.Lifting weights has made me feel empowered and of course stronger. My only complaint.... Bear crawls. 😂😂 I kid. Kinda. I highly recommend checking Simple Solutions Fitness out for your fitness needs!

As a pelvic health physical therapist who specializes in women’s health, I cannot rave enough about Steven and what he does at Simple Solutions. He ensures he is always up-to-date with new and upcoming research, always on his A game, and is always reaching out to other professionals to create the best care imaginable for his clients. Talk about a fitness-forward professional! I send clients to him for low back pain, hip pain, returning to activity postpartum, women who want to start strength training, or anything in between. Columbia is lucky to have such an advocate for women’s health!

Coach Mack has really helped me become stronger these last 11 months ! I barely could do one elevated push up when we first started and now I can easily do them as a warm up. He is very knowledgeable and has introduced me to new exercises. I appreciated that he chose exercises for me that does not aggravate my low back ( as I deal with a low back condition). I have gone up in rep strength in many exercises and visually I can see I am leaner and added muscle . The only issue I had with online training was i was limited with exercise choices so maybe having an option for different exercises for the muscle group. Also , on some days , the warm up of the day for the exercise session would be missing . Overall , I enjoyed my experience and would train with him in the future .

Steven is a wonderful coach who helped me lose a lot of weight and gain confidence in my lifting. He was there with me every step of the way and made it easy to succeed. As a Registered Dietitian and fitness enthusiast I know how important it is to have support and accountability when achieving your goals. This is what I wanted when working with Steven.I have worked with Steven for several months now with a goal of maximizing muscle gain and overall health. He has listened to my input and create a workout plan that works for my body, situation, and my preference. Before my trial period with Simple Solutions Fitness started, I was not nearly as active and had some difficulties with balance. I was moderately intimidated by weight lifting as well. Over the past month, I have had a boost in energy, motivation, and my balance has improved. I no longer feel awkward when I go to the gym to lift weights or about how much weight I’m lifting when I choose to. In addition to weight lifting and strength training, I was referred to an affordable nutrition group at MU, that I did not even know existed. Having this option available to me is helpful because I have wanted nutritional help for years but have not been able to afford it. The trial period and rate was very affordable and worth it! Thank you!

I grew up working out in a team atmosphere, and over time I had gotten out of the routine and had stopped making it a priority. I had heard about Simple Solutions Fitness and felt like the small group training would be just the right thing for me. The coaches were always welcoming, and willing to accommodate/modify to work around an injury. I appreciated the creativity, and willingness to make sure I got a great workout in while staying safe. The workouts were just what I needed to gain confidence in my abilities, and get back my overall confidence at the gym.

This was a very good introduction back into weight lifting for me. The atmosphere is non-judgmental and inclusive for people of all levels. I can’t speak on behalf of any of the other trainers because I didn’t work with them, but Steven was always organized and intentional with his workouts and feedback. I have since recommended several of my friends try this because it has helped me gain the confidence I needed to start lifting again. Overall, would highly recommend giving this a try!
