The pool here smells bad, gives me a rash, and causes my nose to run for 2 days. Good cardio and weight equipment.

There is literally 1000's of pounds of weights sitting on the floor. This is the messiest 24 hour I've been and I average a new location every 3 weeks as I travel for a living. Terrible gym culture is contagious and there is no signs letting newbies to rack their weights. I watched a personal trainer teaching over head press, good teaching but then take the weights off the bar and then leave them on the ground.... What the hell!!!?!?!! The 15 pounds on each side were too heavy to walk the 4 feet to put it back?!?!?Apparently matching the numbers on the Dumbbells and rack station is too hard for the members. The staff is happy selling junk and memberships which I'm sure corporate loves. This place is a hazard for anyone who isn't careful. This places spacing is garbage too, too much room between some stations and none next to others; I guess a tape measure wasn't around when placing equipment. They also have 2 squat racks but 5-6 different leg presses. I know people love machines but it's terrible when you have 8 people waiting on two racks. After this experience, I didn't bother look in the locker room or go down stairs. Anytime fitness is down the street, try checking that place out!

Close to home and classes are great!

Some of the classes are a joke and dangerous because taught by people who know nothing about fitness and safety. Lawsuit waiting to happen. Other classes are very good (Body pump)

Machines work fine. I don't know where these naysayers have been going. Staff is friendly and trainers knowledgeable. Always have a great workout, rarely need to search for open equipment.

VERY! very dirty!! Machine most often broken and take months to fix. Bathrooms to dirty for me to use or take shower. Water alway all over floor no one cleans in peak hours of gym use. Cardio machines (most) not working right. Management tells you it will be taken care of and nothing get done. Just bady managed!!

I don't know what people expect. It is cheap, and they have all kinds of equipments you need.I don't use pool, but sauna sometimes.I workout 5days a week for weight training and some cardio. I'm paying $29.99/month and I'm satisfied. The locker room was bit old and dirty but they renovated it recently. :)

I haven't been in the pool or store, but it's not as horrible as some of these folks say. It's a gym, it' going to have sweaty people and broken machines sometimes. It's been a little stuffier than I'd have thought for how big the place is, but we've also had a heat wave for the past week. I've been there twice and will keep going there. But there are seriously two rooms of cardio machines, plus another that's devoted to spinning classes.

This is a review of this specific 24 Hour Fitness not 24 Hour as a whole.I'm not sure how to start this review. Coming to this location is always a nightmare. It's based in a mall so there is never enough parking, even at 10pm. No matter what time I stop by this location the mens locker room is always disgusting, clumps of hair on the floor, odor of urine, and miscellaneous trash left around. I wish the staff of this location care half as much for the upkeep as they did about pushing personal trainer sessions. I've gone to locations all over the bay area and this by far is the worst one.If you have to come here make sure to bring some sort of sandals or something if you have to shower.

24 Hour Fitness is a good value. While this place may be crowded the people who come here are nice, the staff friendly enough, equipment is always working and even during peak hours I can still get in a workout even if I do have to wait sometimes. Having used other gyms I'm familiar with how bad gyms can be (dirty, broken equipment, poor management, etc.). Considering I pay $12/month I'm extremely happy. Pro tip: You can get a 2-year membership for $300 at Costco.
