I don't usually write reviews, but I am truly shocked that a company as big as 24 Hour Fitness would blatantly scam people. To be fair, it was my fault for not reading the agreement carefully and just listened to the sales guy about "what the agreement means", but what the sales guy told me from the very beginning was absolutely misleading and borderline fraudulent.I came in the club to try out the gym since I just recently moved to the area. On their website they offer a "free 3-day trial", so I signed up for that and took the confirmation with me to the gym. When I got there, they told me the free trial is not applicable to me because the address on my driver's license is not Corona. As I was hesitant to actually get a membership, the sales guy told me that I can "get a month for just $30 flat, cancel whenever I want, and all I have to pay is the $30 if I'm not happy with the experience". I thought $30 for a month-long trial is not too bad, and I can always cancel at the end of the month, so I signed up. As I was signing the agreement (which I later found out says the $30 is only a deposit), the guy told me "the paper is about that I agree to pay the $30". After checking out the UFC right across the freeway, I decided to sign up with UFC since it offers much better equipments and more classes.I called 24 Hour to cancel the membership, and was informed that I need to pay both for the first month and the last month, which total to $82. Enraged, I asked for a copy of the papers I signed when I was signing up, and realized that the paper says the $82 is non-refundable and the initial $30 I paid was only a deposit, so I still need to pay the $52 remaining balance. While it is my fault for not reading the papers clearly, I believe the way their electronic signing system was set up in an extremely misleading way so that you don't read the $82 unless you insist on seeing the entire agreement. And since that critical one is among some other forms like health risk-release, it is very easy to overlook this important detail. All of these combined with the sales person's false claims eventually led me to sign a form that contained information I was absolutely not informed of by any 24 Hour staff. I will never visit any 24 Hour Fitness again and will try my best to let as many people know about this bs as I can.

Not my primary gym, went online and saw their kids club closed at 12pm Sunday. I went in at 1130 just to get a sauna session in after my work out. They made their own policy to not allow children to be checked in 30 minutes before closing... no other 24 hr fitness gym I go to has that policy and I’ve been a member for over 10 years. If that’s the case, change your operating hours online as that is what I went off of when making my decision to visit your gym. Still calling corporate to file a formal complaint.

If you had asked me 6 months ago I would have told you not to join the 24 Hour Fitness. However after about a six month lay off from going there it's improved vastly. In the past the music they played was very very loud. It was always overcrowded and the people that we're going to do the aerobics would sit on the workout machines for about half an hour waiting to go into the aerobics and the staff would do nothing about it, also there was a lot of shouting and swearing going on around you... However I went back to working out three weeks ago and it was a pleasure to be back. It was not as crowded not as many people crammed into the facility the people that were there seem to genuinely go there to work out and enjoy it. I don't know when the change occurred but I am very glad that it did.
