Excellent workouts configured to target specific muscle groups, utilizing a variety of resistance implements. The trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging, and make putting in the hard work a fun experience!

As much I'd like to rave about this gym after being a loyal and consistent member for 4 months now, they recently put a bad taste in my mouth. Nothing on the trainers (they're amazing), but their admission policy. I wanted my boyfriend to come and experience the same intensity and awesomeness that I've been thriving on and I figured why not just do the two complimentary sessions that the website touts, no strings attached. Nowhere does it say you have to be a 'local' to be able to attend on the website or advertisements. Heck, my coworker that works out with me is from LA County, do they deny him membership? Nope. Doesn't make any sense. Would only allow him to put a card on file to let him take a session- only to force him to sign up for a drop in ($25, which is a 1/4 of my monthly membership fee) or buy a package. I feel like we were lied to. Not only did the 12 lose a potential client, but they also lost a loyal client that won't be renewing anymore.EDIT: Josh the manager called me personally and apologized for the miscommunication and amended the situation. Thank you Josh for being such a great owner and taking responsibility of your business and employees.

Exciting experience working out. I look forward to going to the various 'boot-camp' classes each week. The instructors have been high energy and they really forge a sense of community and teamwork so you push each other during class. The high fives and motivation to keep going even when you're exhausted really help each person get the absolute most out of every workout. It's awesome. A little expensive, but totally worth it.

What can I say about this place? Wow! I just finished my 5th session this month and simply love the place. The instructors are just great, full of energy, while always supporting everyone with smile, encouragement and more. The place is just great and I even like it better than Crossfit with far less chances of injury even though you workout every muscle group. Thanks to Cyrus and Hailey Marie for introducing me to this place. The best reasons to come here are: a) pure energy b) you can be in great shape or in horrible shape - the workouts work for everyone c) peer group - just make it to the door - the rest will take care of itself being surrounded by amazing group of peers d) awesome instructors e) you will experience exercises that you never have in your life in traditional gyms - all good and motivating f) Do this a few times a week, eat well, and you will be in the greatest shape of your life in no time... I would give it a 6 star if such option existed..... :-)

If you are looking for a place where you can meet instructors that care for you or people to help motivate you to go to the gym, The12 is the place to go! I have gone everyday for over a month because I have people who I met there that encourages me to go. I recommend taking Nicole's class because she will make an EFFORT to know your name, DAY 1, and will help you correct your form.

Motivating atmosphere that makes working out so enjoyable! All of the trainers are wonderful and each day of the week is filled with different exercises that focus on specific body parts (ex: Tuesday- legs, Friday- cardio). Definitely recommend checking out The 12 if you're looking for a gym in the OC, especially since they offer the first two classes free.

Love this place. The community is amazing, the workouts are challenging, and I always end up having a lot of fun. Each day works out a different muscle group as not to overly burn out your body. I've been coming here for 2 years almost daily and have noticed everyday tasks are easier due to the fitness The 12 has prepared me for.

Love the workouts here! I have done a lot of workouts in my life and this is the first one I have ever been excited to go back to; borderline addicted. I feel pushed yet get to work at my own pace. I always feel accomplished.

The 12 is now my go-to gym if I'm traveling in OC. The studio is large and clean, their equipment is new and diverse, and the instructors are incredibly motivating. The workouts are structured so that each day they do they same workout throughout the day. Tuesday might focus on legs, Wednesday on back and shoulders, etc. I heard some people double-up on classes, but that seems crazy to me because these workouts are TOUGH! They really push you and will make you break a sweat, but the classes go by fast and are a lot of fun. (If you like getting your butt kicked that is!) I would describe the place as intense, but I personally feed off of that. If you come to class with a can-do attitude, you WILL succeed and transform your cardiovascular health and body.Class sizes vary tremendously. A 5 or 6pm class could have 40 people and a 10am class could have 4! Crazy. So yah... I recommend to anyone even remotely curious to at least try it out. They offer 3 free classes to new clients! No catch!
