I am a white belt and have been training jiu jitsu for about 6 months, I went for an open mat and I got my arm broken by a blue belt that trains there.I needed a full reconstructive distal bicep tendon surgery that put me off work for 4 months. The instructor is a good person and I am sure he cares for the people that trains at the gym.The guy that injured my arm is a blue belt and he is supposed to take care of new people and training partners that are starting the jiu jitsu journey and specially that are visiting the gym for an open mat.Be careful if you go to the open mat and make sure you are rolling with a trustworthy and mature training partner. The instructor or a higher belt in charge were not on the mats at the beginning of the open mat rolls and I think this is critical to ensure the safety of the practice.I was not given the chance to tap and my arm broke but this things can happen when you train with strangers.I am not blaming the gym or the instructor just be aware of the people with ego problems that sneak in a good jiu jitsu gym.

I’m on vacation from Colorado and stopped in today for open mat. I was nervous at first, but the guys and girls here made me feel welcome. The gym had a family feel to it. I had a great experience and didn’t run across any meatheads out to hurt you.The gym was clean. There were plenty of folks to roll with. I’d highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to train or learn jujitsu.

First class gym all around, I can't say enough good things about this place. I have been training BJJ and Muay Thai at Triunfo for almost 2 years now. The instruction and curriculum that Professor Felipe has developed is top notch. I think Triunfo really separates itself with the people that make up the environment. Chelsie and Felipe truly have created a family environment unlike any team/gym I've ever been a part of. Everyone is very welcoming and encouraging. It would be a mistake not to check this place out if you find yourself looking for a gym in the area.
