This place is just lovely. The staff are welcoming, kind, and motivating, and the facility is spotless and beautiful. The 60-minute workout is varied and I always get so much from it. It helps tremendously that it's broken into 20 minute sets so I never get bored. I do not feel out of place here - there are folks of all ages, shapes, sizes, and genders and you only compete with yourself. Highly recommend!

I love Spenga! It’s the first gym I tried when moving to Chapel Hill and I’ve never left. The instructors and staff are all so wonderful and it’s such a great and well rounded workout. They do so many events and they speak very positively about body image and are inclusive to everyone. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a workout class that would motivate me post baby to get back in shape and Spenga has been great. The workouts are tough but I feel so great afterwards. I love that the music is always changing and the strength part is different every time I go. The girls who work there really get to know you. They know my name and ask how I'm doing every time I go which also gives a really nice community feel.

I love SPENGA! From the instructors to the front desk representatives to the tea tree oil smell that you get while walking in. The workout is amazing and gives you a little of everything. Spin first, hit, and then yoga. The perfect combination!!

I've been looking for a new gym home for a long time, and I've found it at SPENGA Chapel Hill. Gyms often promise a sense of community, but this place truly delivers. The classes are small, which allows the instructors to walk around and help individuals with their form. This is super important for individuals of any age, and for those of us with injuries, inflammation, or aging joints, it's especially important. I love feeling safely challenged in every class. I love the music, the energy, and the passion of the instructors. The classes are attended by people of all ages, but no one feels too young or too old. The only competition is against yourself, and everyone there wants you to become your best self. If you're looking for a clean, challenging, safe community gym, look no farther.

I love going to SPENGA. This is the first time in my life that I’ve ever been excited and motivated to work out! The facility is well equipped and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and knowledgeable. From my very first session, I knew I was going to become a long time member. Amazing workout every time, and every workout is the same and totally different! The music always rocks. The owners and instructors and staff are the best. They really make you feel like a part of the community. I'm so glad that I joined a year ago. It's the only workout that I feel inspired enough to show up for on the regular. I had been out of the gym for many years when I randomly decided to sample gyms in the area to see if I could find something that would get me back into it. SPENGA was the first place I tried and from day one, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to go back! Thank you, Laura, for being so kind and helpful that first day when I was nervous (never having done spin or any group fitness before, other than yoga!) It isn’t just Laura, all the staff are amazing and the workouts are challenging and varied. Never boring. You work hard but also have fun :)

Edit:Also charged me a late cancel fee, and there was no grace with it. I definitely spent more money there than I budgeted for up front, so keep that in mind.I generally enjoyed this studio! I didn’t get bored with the workouts and it was easy to navigate. Only issue I had was that they weren’t flexible with extending my last credit even though I couldn’t go for a couple weeks and asked in advance, so I wish they were more flexible.
