The Everett Family YMCA offers a modern facility with a wide array of amenities like a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and various group classes. Many users praise its kid-friendly environment and the diversity of activities available for both adults and children alike. The location on Colby Ave is convenient for many, and the space is well-maintained.

However, some patrons have raised concerns about the inadequacy of the locker rooms, occasional rude staff, and specific maintenance issues in areas such as the moldy smell in the women’s locker room and broken equipment. These concerns suggest there is room for improvement in safety protocols and overall customer service.

Love the Everett Y so much! We do swim classes, utilize the kidzone, kids soccer and I do a couple group workout classes every week (Love Bethy's classes). The new outdoor park is amazing too!

I had a family membership and paid around 150 a month. The place is new and well taken care of. They have a beautiful park next to the building that is not associated with the Y. The cons of this place is that a worker told me that I can only use the sauna in my baiting suit. 3 out of 5 they didn't have the room for my baby in the day care which is fine but what truly made me cancel my membership is that when the lady went to look for someone to help she left the newborn babies by themself for 5 minutes and to me that's not okay. I'm sure there are some good people working there but there needs to be some safety training there and better communication.

Staff is unfriendly and thinks customers are an interruption. Tired of them giving rude looks at people. Why are some of you even in customer service? Yes, they literally give you dirty looks. Also, the men's locker room is disgusting. There is no ventilation. The floors are wet and the place is cramped. I have seen little barefoot kids having to change clothes in the ONE bathroom stall while standing in a puddle of someone's urine. Disgusting. There is always a line to use the ONE urinal and the floor beneath it is a puddle of urine. The paper towel machine is cheap and breaks daily. The bathing suit drying machine is broken, and the scale to weigh yourself was broken last week. But the staff only care about their little unfriendly clique near the lobby and treating customers rudely. You could at least try to fix the broken garbage can in the coffee area of the lobby that is always covered in coffee and creamer. It is unprofessional that customers (including the homeless that you let in) have to touch such a filthy, filled to the top container while the multiple staff members do nothing but try to look powerful and treat people ice cold. The Everett Y is a joke.

I left a very nice non-commercial gym down in Pierce county before having to get a Y membership. So far, the weights upstairs are ample, just need to refine my lifting time so that it’s not cramped with young kids taking up the weight benches, cables, most of DBs.

I love the Y!

It's a great place, but WHY close at 4pm on a Saturday??? What gym or health club closes at 4pm on a Saturday? No one does. This seriously needs to be changed.
