Visited May 13th, 2021. Disgusting first impressions, me and my boyfriend decided to try out a new gym while in town, we usually go to wooden mountain climbing gym( great service). We were displeased first by having to peak around their office corner to get someones attention. Once they noticed me I tried to tell them how I have been looking at there climbing shoes for sale and next asked about a price. My boyfriend had also mentioned he would like one of the hats they sell and 2 day passes. The blonde with the shaved head said "please pull your mask above your nose" (I did this. By the way these were the first words this woman said to me once knowing of our plans to drop about $160 at there climbing gym) , "and start by..." watching a 5 minute bore shesh video about there gym, would have much rather they just run down the rules in person. Any how we walked out 2 minutes into the video and went to Wooden Mountain Climbing Gym in Loveland.

Love this place!! Fun staff, solid routes, chill atmosphere, the climbing gym of climbing gyms in fort collins for sure! They have their hearts in the right place too, Ascent has been so so supportive of our climbing therapeutics program for foster, adopted, and kinship teens, who have been experiencing so much love, growth, mental and physical strength through climbing. Being there to facilitate this for our Kids at Heart teens through The Young Ascenders program at Ascent has been my favorite thing about life right now, can't thank yall enough!! The gym of gyms!!!

First time and unimpressed. Front desk was disorganized and they were absolutely over capacity for COVID safety regulations for Larimer County . I’m a climbing instructor, I’ve set routes as well as had several gym memberships at other front range gyms. The belay certification is not thorough which shows. Lots of unsafe belaying happening throughout the gym. Routes were very inconsistent and did not flow well. I agree with others that the vibe was off and would say it was greatly understaffed for the amount of people climbing.

These are some of the best routes I've climbed in awhile. Even the lower grade ones were interesting and varied. Josh is a great setter. This place is humbling. After climbing the soft grades at EarthTreks I jumped on a "warmup" route and got my money's worth. The staff was nice, very helpful getting 4 of us through our lead tests.

I’m a beginner, and I climb both alone and with my kids. Ascent has been very fun and challenging for us, and the staff has been very helpful in teaching us the equipment and basics. Excellent climbing gym for climbers of all skill sets. Highly recommended!

Great Gym. Great staff. Setting is done in a way I like. A lot of the staff is very knowledgeable and are absolute crushers both in and out of the gym.Even through COVID, the staff has been able to provide bits and pieces of the Ascent experience, which is much appreciated. The reservation system is continuously being improved to allow for easier reservations even as the capacity has been incrementally reduced.

Such an awesome gym! Very pretty walls state of the art holds and problems, and a welcoming staff and vibe makes for an awesome first time experience to the 100th time!!

Amazing experience at the studio. My kids loved the auto-belay feature and considering we all four (two adults and two kids) never ever climbed before, we had a blast!!!! Highly recommend for anyone from a girls night out to a fun and active date night or a great hot afternoon indoors with your pre-teens.

Fun from beginner to advanced climbing. Has a small gym upstairs to work on hand grips, endurance and body strength.

Best climbing gym in Fort Collins hands down. Staff are friendly, prices are reasonable, and the problems are super nifty and fun.
