Hidden gem of a gym. It really shows how much detail and effort went into the design of the walls here. While there are larger climbing gyms out there (Movement Boulder), imo no other gym better utilizes the space that it occupies. Upstairs boards, weights and studio are a really nice touch for what is already an incredible space. Staff are rad. Youth and collegiate team crush. Atmosphere could not be any better.

I've been meaning to check this place out with my little kids for a while now. I wish I'd gone sooner! They were wonderful. We are nieve and inexperienced with climbing but they helped us each step of the way. Prices seemed reasonable, equipment was in great shape and the staff was kind and professional. Kids are hooked, we'll definitely be back!

Love love this gym! Awesome climbing and awesome fitness classes! I’m a huge yoga gal and their yoga program is awesome. Jessy and Shelby are both super great! Their vinyasa classes are both challenging and accessible. I absolutely love Megan’s restorative class, it’s incredibly relaxing and perfect for before or after climbing to get a good stretch. She also plays crystal bowls which I’m obsessed with!

I have tried yoga off and on for years but I had not found a place where I felt I fit. The instructors are great at describing how to really get into the poses and give you different options for your level. I have been going to the evening classes with Megan and Shelby and feel they challenge me mentally and physically. Megan and Shelby have a different style and I enjoy the variety. I also enjoy the flow and the music that accompanies the practice. Since I have been going twice a week for 3 months I have felt my balance, flexibility and confidence in what my body can do increase.

I love all the community-driven and high energy spectator events they have. The owners are very friendly and genuinely care about taking care of their customers and community. I like that they are frequently working the front desk and take part in their own events. It shows that they remain well grounded and connected with all that goes on under their roof. I’ve found all the staff friendly and sociable. They’re all passionate about climbing. The gym has everything a new or serious climber could want or need. Tall walls, autobelays, cracks, bouldering, all angles, a very well stacked fitness area, cozy yoga studio, and soon to be child day care. I know many would love a bar, but that’s never been important to me so I don’t have a strong opinion there. They partner with breweries to offer alcohol at events and monthly member appreciations.I mostly climb on rope these days so I’ll refrain from commenting on the bouldering, but same setters so... I’ve really enjoyed almost every route I’ve been on. I’m an established and confident climber so variations in grading don’t really get to me, but I find them consistent enough and pretty close to what I expect. For my standards and from my experience I find the gym very clean and the air always chalk-free. There’s always cleaning to be done, at every gym, but it’s better than where I’ve come from.I would enjoy a few more autobelays so there could be more grade and style options for when I need to climb alone, but not a deal breaker. There are definitely times, 5-7p, when the teams are practicing that things get packed and you might need to compromise on what you get one or wait a bit.I’ll close by saying that I am a previous gym founder and operator so I have a perspective as both a manager and a customer. Finally, I find the reviews that the gym is either “atrocious” or that the staff are “rude” to be incredibly unfounded, unjustified, and simply from a very limited and childish point of view. Haters gonna hate. Whatev.

My husband and I have been going to ascent for a few months now and we really like it. Workers are super nice and we are pretty much always welcomed by smiles and a warm hello. I don’t think I’d recommend it as a regular gym if you don’t climb, as I wish the gym had a little more machines but other than that everything’s pretty great!

This is one of the best climbing gyms I have been to. There is a good mix of both bouldering and rope climbing with interesting features and amazing route setting. Really friendly crowd, easy to find partners. There are lots of great member perks too, like the annual fitness challenge, appreciation nights, and discounts on gear (and morning coffee). What more can you ask for in a local climbing gym?

I came in to try it out, ended up walking out with a membership and a smile! Super fun place to climb! A little crowded(but that’s okay) early mornings are when I try to go, it being less packed! Wonderful staff, friendly and willing to lend advice and a hand to anyone looking or needing it! Awesome atmosphere and a little shop to the right as you walk in. Offering shoes, chalk, bags and a lot more!Follow me on Instagram @ Ol_Huckleberry_Fin to see more cool, fun places to see and explore in Colorado!

Ascent is by far the best indoor climbing in Northern Colorado. The routes are well set and the staff is, for the most part, friendly.

Great place to indoor climb. Family friendly, something for beginners to experts. Helpful friendly staff and reasonable prices.
