I would like to give Abby and Molly a shoutout for being super accommodating and understanding. I loved the facility for the short period of time that I was there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The gym is equipped with everything you need and I never had trouble finding a machine.

Upgraded my gym pass to have access to the South location for the family to enjoy the pool as well as the hot tub. The hot tub went down several weeks ago, which I understand it takes time to fix. But when I called to ask the status, before making the 20 minute drive, I was told it was all fixed. It's open, but it is as cold as the indoor/outdoor pool. Then when my partner asked staff about it, if they have a time-line on when it might be fixed, the young woman replied, "I don't know, do you?" She was on face time and couldn't be bothered to deal with a valid question. Fingers crossed I'm not locked into this expensive membership.

I’ve been a member at this facility since the year 2000. I’ve seen it go from a privately owned company to much larger company with locations in other states outside of Colorado. Since that transition, I’ve seen the overall quality of the club go down specifically to the cleanliness of the locker rooms, bathrooms, sauna, hot tub, steam room, etc.…. The cardio area is really really good with lots of tread mills, stationary bikes, stair, climbers, etc…and set up well. The weight room has basically everything one would need to lift weights. However, it is smaller than the north location and the machines are placed very close to one another. There is a lower area which used to be a full length basketball court. Half of the basketball court has been transitioned into a turf area with squat, racks pull up bars, multipurpose apparatus, kettle, bells, dumbbells, etc… the other half of the basketball court remains a basketball court half court that would be with a third basket. I don’t use the tennis facilities. However, those who I know who played tennis are very impressed with the overall tennis facility and how tennis is run at this club. There is also an outdoor pool with lifeguards. Food and beverages are available as well. Overall, this is a great club on the south end of town whether you are a student or a family with children who would take advantage of all of the facilities. I’ve been a member for 24 years and I’ll keep going when I’m on that side of town.

My daughter did a couple weeks of summer camp here and absolutely loved it. Councilors were great and she had a lot of fun. However, there are a couple facility concerns: she is 7, and the a/c seemed to be broken in her classroom so on days when it was high 90s she said it was very hot indoors and they were sweating (not sure if this was a temporary issue or not?). I understand things like that can happen, but there was also a piece of glass in her classroom that she cut her knee on while playing with toys, and - more concerning - she came home another day with a cut on her foot because of a broken light and exposed nail inside the pool. I would recommend the program, but I really hope they start dedicating some staff to inspecting the classrooms and activity areas each day to ensure they are safe.

Sneaky and greedy, as to be expected. My fiance and I were told upon signing up for our memberships that if we cancelled before the 15th of the June, we would not have to pay for the following month nor the annual maintenance fee. I put that in my calendar as I was in the room signing my membership documents, because I had a feeling that they would be shady when the time came for us to move and cancel our memberships.Sure enough, we went in yesterday to cancel our memberships and were informed that because we did not give 30 days notice for our cancellation (instead of before the 15th as stated upon beginning our membership) we would be paying for the following month, the maintenance fee, AND a $40 cancellation fee in addition to the robotic "iT's oUr pOLiCy, tHeRe'S nOtHiNg wE cAn dO" speech. Greedy and sneaky, though this isn't much of a surprise for big businesses in 2023.Take your business elsewhere and avoid the hundreds of dollars in fees. These greedy people don't deserve your hard earned money just for a semi-decent gym and fancy smoothie bar that isn't even open for half the year.

My family and I have a membership at Genesis and overall love it, especially for the weights, cardio equipment, yoga classes, and kids club. All of that has been excellent. However, I write this because we have totally given up on the aquatics program, mainly because of irresponsible staff who can't communicate or show up for lessons. Last summer I reached out to the Fort Collins Club to inquire about private swim lessons for my daughter. I was connected with the person I was told was the head of the aquatics program and communicated with him via email. He forgot about our first lesson and someone had to go get him. We started 30 minutes late. He told me he was sorry because it was hard for him to keep up with emails so asked me to text him. The next Friday, the night before our next lesson, I texted him to confirm the appointment on Saturday. He said he was sorry because he would have to cancel since he had gotten a new tattoo the Wednesday before and couldn't get in the water. When I complained, I was told there were better teachers at the Miramont South location. This summer I reached out to them and was put in contact with a teacher. She texted me to initiate the conversation but then never responded to any other messages. I told management and was put in contact with another teacher. That teacher canceled the morning of our first lesson because she was sick. The next week when I reached out to confirm the time of our lesson, she told me she had quit Genesis and couldn't teach us anymore. I understand people change jobs but surely Genesis should consider communicating with clients of their staff if someone leaves. I should have been told before I asked.Genesis is great overall, but I don't recommend attempting private swim lessons. They have wasted so much of our time. I hope someone from more senior management reads this and actually does something to improve the staff.
