I got very upset about setting up my friend on my membership through that Black Friday deal. I talked to the membership manager on Monday to tell her that I would like to get my friend guest pass to cover him from Monday to Friday, and I will add him on my membership on Friday through the Black Friday deal. The manager agreed on it and wrote down my friend’s name. My friend did not know I got him a guest pass and paid 100 dollars to get a guest pass! We came over right after he paid the money and the front desk told us they don’t refund, but they are going to use the money towards to his membership fee on the Black Friday! We were happy but today they denied everything they told us and made us to pay the full amount! And the membership manager said front desk person cannot make the decision and the front desk person told us the manager told him the thing on the other day! We want to talk to the corporate but they are not providing any phone number! Now we are still here waiting for the manger!Follow-up is here! 11/23/2018We ended up with talking to the GM after 30mins wait. And she told us she couldn’t do anything about that $100 that we paid in front! And she said my friend wouldn’t even eligible for that deal since he was a guest! I told her that I called the membership person on Monday, and they told me my friend was totally eligible since he was a guest not a member! How could they tell people different things without paying any responsibility?! They blamed on the front desk person since he had no right to talk to customers for things like that! And they blamed on us that we shouldn’t pay that 100 in front! They basically blamed on anyone but themselves, they believed there was miscommunication but we still needed to pay! We ended up with paying it and I told her that I got so upset about their decision and I am going to share my experience with my friends and co-workers who also joined the gym! And the GM told me since this is unhealthy relationship between them and me and they are a private company, therefore she could cancel my membership! I was telling her, I am not threatening you, I will just share my experience with my friend, if you want to cancel my membership just go head to do it! This is my first time to see a threaten like that as a customer!Couple things you need to know before you join the gym:1 they never refunded any thing, even it was a miss payment2 they don’t care their reputation all they wanted was money!3 they may cancel your membership if you share bad experience there with your friend!I signed up with an annual contract with them, this is why I am still with them! 😔Follow-up again @11/28/2018The corporate contacted me related to this issue, I told them everything and they agreed to refund the $100 miss payment only if we can provide the receipt. I faxed the receipt over and they left a voice mail to me today saying they are not going to refund the money but give us an extra month membership! We don't want any extra time with this gym, we just want our refund! I don't want to mention anyone's name here, but someone at this company needs to take responsibility of what they have told customers. Otherwise, they are just a bunch of liars!

Dont cancel one day late or your hosed, used to be a good gym with decent customer service, ever since their change to genesis their website wont give any membership account information. Used to be a premium feeling gym but only feels like a slightly less crowded 24 hour fitness now.

The short take-away, they charge you when they shouldn't. They are pretty bad at keeping things well-organized for their customers. The long story:My and my wife were pretty happy when we were signing up for the membership this earlier this year. They have a good policy - if you will be out of town for about a month, you can let them know and you won't be charged for that month, and your 12 month membership shifts to the 13th month. That sounds great. We had travel plans for October so we just went ahead and finished the 'leave-of-absence' paperwork as well.A couple of months passed and we found ourselves charged for October. We talked to the front desk and they said this should not happen and they would take care of it. A couple days later, the problems was not fixed. We had to talked to them again to get it right. Fortunately the second attempt was helpful. We are the kind of people who like to plan things ahead and keep ourselves organized. That's why we signed the 'leave-of-absence' paperwork on the first day joining the club, so we did not need to worry about it later and just enjoy our workout. Apparently that did not happen.I should have given them a '3-star pass' on this issue but I am not happy about the time we had to waste. I wish they can take this more seriously. I wish they can really see the implications for the whole business from these 'small issues'. I wish they can improve their customer database management skills (either digital or paper) and mark the things they should do on their calendar and save the customers' time/life. Keep everything consistent no matter who is the person to actually do it. Remember what was promised to the customer and deliver it on time.Currently, it is worthless if you tell them something you want to do a few months away. They will just forget about it, and you will need to tell them again. It might be a lot to ask. I don't know how much the recent new owner cares about this. But this is important to build trust with the many local, loyal customers, without whom no fitness clubs can survive.

The only reason I’m giving this many stars is because I adore my trainer. She’s great and really cares about her clients reaching their goals. The rest of the gym and management team should get 0 stars. This used to feel like a premier facility with outstanding customer service but not since Genesis took over. After reading the other reviews I’m not the only one who misses the only Miramont.

The managers of this fitness center are not qualified to do their jobs. They simply cannot keep their promise, or you can call them liars. They cannot train their staff to do effective communication with the customers. Here is the story. Our friend has been using an out-of-town guess pass. We talked about adding him to our membership this month. Last Monday, he accidentally paid for his guest pass again for this month. However, we have added him to our membership on the same day. We first talked to the front desk about this double payment problem. The staff asked his manager and told us - we can use his payment as credit and just pay the rest of the membership. Remember, he did ask the manager. Later in the week, we went back to pay. To our surprise, the manager denied the credit and even denied she was involved in this discussion. We spent an hour discussion about this issue. No help. A bigger manager joined in and simply told us ' We don't ever do any form of refund. You guys are getting a good deal already! ' She simply repeated this every time for about a dozen times as we argued. We did not know why they couldn't simply admit that they have made a mistake and as managers, they should be responsible for their staff. At least, they should be responsible for what they have promised to the customer. We were very disappointed. Even more surprisingly, they told us 'If you don't like us, we shouldn't do business together... We reserve the rights to cancel your membership...'The overall facilities are good. However, I have not talked about the overpricing, dirty pools, etc. Good job treating your loyal local customers. Bad luck pissing them off. Hopefully, this story can be a reference for future customers.

I love the gym itself and I love the staff. What I don't love is the website. I was looking into something new and I had no idea what it was. Maybe try putting a description if what the class is about because I had to go onto google to figure out what "Power Flow" Yoga was as well as "Dance Tribe"

Great gym, I've been lifting for many years and while this is a health club it's very competent and has what's needed for weight lifting. The atmosphere and the other gym goers are great people, non judgemental and very friendly. The staff are always cleaning, willing to help, and very professional. The trainers are top of the line. They stay up to speed with the latest nutrition and workout information, they're also incredibly professional and likeable. The bathrooms, sauna, pool areas are really quite clean in my experience. The Genesis Health Clubs take over honestly doesn't look too promising. As with any corporate takeover they ruin anything they get their hands on. In my opinion it would be beneficial to expand the hours but that might have implications for the employees. The price could certainly go down a bit but I highly doubt Genesis will do so in order to help people achieve their goals. They're currently (to my knowledge) the only place that sells Run Everything Labs supplements which is a HUGE bonus. Guest passes are few and far between something should certainly be done about that. But Overall I'm pleased with the services provided and will conitnue to lift here as long as it doesn't change too much.

I was a member for 3 years staff and group exercises were great!Unfortunately, while trying to schedule with a personal trainer I was rescheduled 3 times the same day as the appointment. I was also unable to reschedule within 24 hours and their system would not allow it. I reached out with my concern by email and phone to numerous staff at multiple locations and never heard back.On the bright side the cancellation was easy to took 60 seconds for me to explain my issues and frustrations to the membership coordinator and she was able to email me right away to cancel. The automated email even apologizes and said it would miss me.After the response from the owner below I went in and was told after 3 years of membership there would be a $300 re-enrollment fee! I can't believe they are treating new members like this! I couldn't talk to an enrollment person or GM as they are all at the peach festival. They would not even allow me to use the facilities until the membership could be sorted out and when enrollment/management was back. Completely unacceptable behavior!

We enrolled in the two and a half yr. preschool program this Fall and I can't say enough good things about our experience at Miramont! The staff members are all great. Everyone is always smiling and happy, and my daughter left school each week feeling confident about her time spent with her classmates and teachers. Such a positive experience for her, socially and academically!

I love this gym because the equipment is excellent, 1 time in 6 years has a machine needed fixing (that I know of, and I was going everyday, twice a day for a couple of those years), and it was fixed within days. The staff is the best, always helpful. Indoor and outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Large gymnasium. Steam room, sauna, and a huge hottub. Towels for showering, locks on every locker so no need to bring your own. Scale in the locker room. Blow dryer. Hangers for clothes you don't want to put in the locker. Free WiFi. Exercise logs with clipboards to use. I could go on forever! Go in and ask for a tour, you won't be disappointed.
