Manakoa Gymnastics

I haven't done gymnastics in about 17 years, so I decided to sign up for their adult classes. It's been 9 months since I started and every lesson has been great. Coach Cynthia and Coach Sarah are really enjoyable to learn from. They don't push you to where you'll feel uncomfortable. I would highly recommend taking classes at this gym. The parking can get packed on the street, but I don't mind walking a bit.

My daughter did 2 classes and 2 private lessons at Manakoa Gym while we were on vacation from Australia and loved it! Cynthia was very easy to deal with on email when I organised the classes and then I was very impressed with the gym upon arrival. Coach Sarah was lovely and my daughter enjoyed her as a coach. It was a very easy process to organise and even though levels are slightly different in Australia, the gym worked well with her and were exactly what she needed. Highly recommend, thank you!

My daughter has really enjoyed the past year as a student at Manakoa gymnastics. The coaches are fantastic and they take their time to correct the smallest things like hand placement and toe pointing. If you are serious about your son or daughter going into the world of gymnastics, then Manakoa is the place. Kennedy will miss you all!

My daughter has been coming to manakoa gymnastics for almost 2 years now and I've seen tremendous amount of improvement from her. Not only her gymnastics skills improved a lot but also mentally and emotionally. She used to be really timid and now she is very confident and not afraid to try new things.

I have four children they’ve all taken gymnastics at one point in their lives so we’ve been to a few gyms and by far this is the best gym with the best coaches. If you are looking for a gym that is very well organized, has great communication with amazing coaches who are friendly, then this is where you want to be.When you get there you’ll notice that it isn’t a very large gym but the space is utilized perfectly. And the small size lends itself to individual attention. The coaches remember each gymnast’s strengths and weaknesses and it shows by the way they modify for each child. Also, the coaches move your child to the next level when they are ready so no waiting for evaluations at the end of the quarter.My daughter is on the Manakoa competition team and she loves it. The girls are pushed to reach their potential but know that even when getting criticized their emotional and physical well being are at the forefront. Coaches help to foster a strong sense of family. The girls really root for each other in practice and during competition. They want their friends to succeed just as much as they want to succeed themselves.Our daughter has gained so much through this experience. Her teachers have asked where she found her new confidence. She changed from constantly doubting herself to becoming a leader who tells her classmates that they can do anything they put their minds to. She is no longer the child finding a place in the background and she is always excited to learn something new herself. We’re pretty sure all of that stems from being at Manakoa.

We were looking for a place to do some lessons for our daughter while visiting from out of state. The coach here was patient, friendly and quickly bonded with our little one for her lessons. She gave lots of good pointers and plenty of feedback we can use at home. I’d recommend Cynthia and the Manakoa Gym to anybody who is just visiting and looking to keep their little ones active on vacation or a family PCSing to Hawaii. Glad we chose them.

Amazing coaches, incredible atmosphere! Coaches at Manakoa gym are very personable, caring, enthusiastic and teaches teamwork. Students build confidence and are coached to their potential.
