Life Time

Love this place! We joined a couple of months ago and so glad we did! They have a little bit of everything. There is so much value to have for adults, for kids, for teens. So far we've been to the Spa, eaten at the Cafe, enjoyed the fitness equipment, the pool all the time, tennis, and personal trainers. Everything has been awesome.

Lifetime Fitness in Vestavia is the most advanced ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ fitness facility in Birmingham. Lifetime Fitness Center offers my family two complete floors of services and amenities for every age and fitness level. Everyone in my family – from my six year old little boy to my 71 year old mother – find enjoyable exercise programs to increase our activity levels, burn calories, build strength, balance and flexibility. My wife enjoys the group classes, from the heart-pumping aerobics of Lifetimes Cardio Theaters to the high intensity of HIIT, strength training and circuit training with Janet Smith.My little boy enjoys the summer kids fitness programs. He and his friends also love the Aquatics Center, complete with indoor and outdoor pools, water slides and lifeguards. The kids center community room is the ideal place for kids’ birthday parties. From when my youngest was born, Lifetime has offered free onsite childcare while we workout. My elder mother has benefited from the low-impact body awareness of Yoga and Pilates, aqua exercise and swimming in their heated indoor pool.Guaranteed, Lifetime Fitness in Vestavia is your family’s place to go for fitness.

At first I loved the gym but I started getting more work hours and decided not to come for about two months. I was harassed constantly by the customer service number and BTW never call them for anything because they cannot help you. I was assisted by a rep named Sam. I talked to him OTP and explained how costly the membership was and I could not afford to pay 150 a month. My kid had been sick and my husband is a veteran so we had to pay out of pocket for meds. Any who I told him I would take care of the cancellation on my vacation. I gave dates times etc. I checked my account and noticed that 458.00 was taken from my account and let me remind you I just told them I had family stuff going on so I couldn’t afford it. I went to the gym and called and they refuse to give my money back and charged me fees for months I didn’t even utilize. What’s really sad is that no one has showed any remorse. I love the gym until I notice they don’t care about people at all. All they care about is the money and how many people they sign up. It’s a real cut throat gym and I feel robbed. All I could do was cry and figure things out. I really felt that the guy who signed us up (Greg) was sincere but the customer service is cut throat and brutal. I work in customer service and never have I let anyone walk away from me feeling how I felt. If you join please be careful and do not use a primary account that you pay bills from. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I WILL NEVER USE THIS GYM AGAIN and if anyone asks me about it I will give them honest feedback and yes I work in an high volumed place where we have to give recommendations for places like this and this won’t even be a factor in my list to even consider. Thanks lifetime for making my experience terrible

Today me and my 2yo got kicked out of the empty pool, because it was outside of family hours which no one told us about when we walked in in swimsuits and played in the water for 25 minutes. There is no information on the app nor online. We were there just 2 days ago from 9-11 and not a single staff member told us anything!! Your pool open all day and we have to be there only 12-4 when it’s extremely hot outside and when it’s a nap time for toddler. Poor communication, poor management! I can’t wait when this month is over because I’m canceling my membership and never ever I’ll come back to this place. Oh and teach your general manager some customer service skills, because he clearly has none!

Absolutely love it here. I’ve been a previous employee of Gold’s Gym & LA fitness. I was a little nervous to jump ship from my previous gyms (no locations near me). But Lifetime has been FABULOUS. The customer service is unbeatable. Gym is clean and class instructors go above and beyond.

The gym is lovely. Its large and clean and has a lot more amenities than I would have expected.I've had my hair done at the Salon there and had the absolute BEST highlight/color/cut update of my life! If you're blonde and need someone to make your blonde hair MORE beautiful - go see Tammy!She's amazing.

It’s a solid gym. I love the Yoga Studio and consider the instructors my friends. It’s a very welcoming environment that I would recommend to anyone in any stage of life.As for the gym as a whole, I think they struggle because they have too many members. It’s good for sales, but management and staff are overwhelmed and it shows. Lifetime needs to consider opening another gym in the Birmingham area to accommodate the amount of members they have.

This gym is amazing. More importantly, Christopher Shunnarah makes this place what is it. I came from out of state for a wedding and needed to workout while I was in the area for the few days I was in Alabama. Chris knows how to treat people with a full level of respect to make you feel welcomed and at home when you come into the facility.If I lived in the area, or if I ever do, I’d get a membership at this gym!

My gym at home is a solid, basic gym - but when I visit my mom I go to Life Time. This place is incredible if you want a high end gym with all the extras. Although I live clear across the country, they are super accommodating. Although it is more than I need/use I would join if I live around one simply because they have been so good to me.

This Gym is great.I wasn’t compelled to even write a review until I saw that it only had 3.5 stars. I wondered how that was possible. Then I read through some of these atrocious reviews from crybabies upset that the world doesn’t revolve around them.Folks are complaining that they sign up for an auto draft gym membership and then upset that the gym actually takes that money -as agreed? Things happen in everyone’s lives, but this is not the gym’s fault.Too crowded? I have never had to wait more than 2 min for a machine, squat rack, or bench. And if you’re in a hurry, and two minutes is enough to ruin your day, ask someone if you can work in with them. The answer is always “yes”. This gym has some of the friendliest members I have ever encountered.Staff is awesome. Facilities are clean. Classes are excellent. Pool is amazing. Kids Academy is a huge plus.Objective review: worth every penny!
