I hear one of the students took on 2 seventeen year old assailants like a scene from karate kid, while simultaneously smoking a 16.4 pound brisket. Sign me up!

Overall I love the classes that I took, mainly Muay Thai and boxing, I did 2 classes of the fit classes. I did feel that it was expensive for what I was really attending to. I did do the get fit challenge, which was extremely challenging. Either I lose 20 pounds in 42 days or 5% body fat. I felt that it was very unreasonable for that short amount of time, especially if I was looking for a more long term weight lost and not an extreme weight lost and be miserable doing it. Even bodybuilders/ athletes that I know find it hard to do in a short amount of time. Especially if you are not an athlete and like I said looking for a long term solution, and still enjoy the process of losing weight while having fun. If I knew that 20 pounds was gonna be this challenging, I wouldn’t have done it. My main goal in this challenge was to get back into a more high intensity workout to get back into an “athlete” energy and burning the calories. It was hard to really enjoy the process of working out, weight training on the side, and doing the Muay Thai and boxing all at once. It really started feeling like it was an obligation, instead of getting excited and looking forward to classes every week. Another thing that was unreasonable for me is juggling school, clinical rotations, coaching, working out, and attending the classes (may I add 3 classes a week) while maintaining my sanity within that time frame. I did tell the coach that I’ve never really been under a certain weight before especially when I was still an athlete. With this challenge, it was implied that I would have to be under that threshold to “win” the challenge. Like I said, my main goal for this challenge is to be under a certain weight which technically meant that I only wanted to lose 15 pounds from the original weight that I walked in with. I also my main goal was to look leaned out not a skeleton literally. So I lost the challenge and I lost the money that I put into the challenge because it was just unreasonable to what I was really going after. If I wasn’t in the challenge, and if they create a certain membership just for Muay Thai and boxing, and even better more of those classes, it may work better with my school schedule and clinical rotations.

I started going to Alliance as a fit challenge and instantly loved it, as an observer you can tell they really care about making you a better person in general. Daily reminders, motivation, meal plans, trainers they provide all the tools for you. All you need to bring is will and dedication.
