Went in for a walk around to see if I want to change gyms. They have long hours so you can get a workout in anytime you need. Locker rooms looked decent and the shower stalls were nice. Some equipment had wear and tear and probably needs repaired but most were in good working order. Plenty of equipment. The staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I think I might be changing gyms in the near future.

This is a good gym because of all the amenities it can provide for anyone. However, like most of the criticisms found in these reviews, my reason for canceling my membership is because this gym is always, ALWAYS overcrowded. They seriously need to open more locations in the Indy area. If you go between 8-11am and/or 4-8pm, forget it because you'll likely be waiting a while to get that right set of weights or even a treadmill. Clearly this is a popular gym, and for it's amenities and price its popularity makes sense, but it's hard to justify having a membership here when you can't use it due to just how many people are compacted inside one gym. That being said, it's a good gym for what it offers and how much it costs, you just have to either adjust what equipment you intend to use, or be very, very patient waiting for the *group* of people to move off of the machine you want.

It used to be a VERY wonderful gym. They had it all, anything you could ask for. As of the last several months it’s turned into complete garbage. Half the treadmills and stairclimbers are always broken. The tanning bed and right light therapy has been down for three months or longer. The hot tub and pool have been having a lot of issues as well the last several months. It stinks in the water area coming from the men’s locker room. There are a few cable machines that are also broken. It used to be perfect, now it’s not. The maintenance has not been kept up, and they don’t fix things promptly.

I absolutely LOVE the variety of equipment as well as the amenities. However none of that matters when I have to wait 10-30 minutes for a bench to open up or someone to finish their set on leg extensions. Or especially if there’s not even room to stand in the sauna. I understand the reason it’s so packed is because it’s a good gym but at what point do they stop selling memberships and just open a new location!? That’s the only downside so if you’re okay with being at the gym an extra hour because of waiting it’s great! (Note: The only time I’m able to go is peak business hours which does affect my review)

Alicia assisted and was SOOO helpful & funny. She was busy however ensured that I received what I needed although I signed up for the incorrect location for my consultation. The facility was clean and fully stocked. I truly hope it stays that way to have some longevity. I got in a quick workout, completed my In Body scan & received a great breakdown of the results from Alicia. Excited I joined & looking forward to many great experiences at Vasa.

Very impressed with the gym layout and the clientele has a very youthful vibe which is kinda refreshing. The staff are friendly and helpful and the sign on process was pretty easy and the facility is quite clean for as busy as it is. I must admit I wish the gym wasn’t as busy as it is at times but I’m getting used to it and there’s enough equipment so far to work with so I’ll get over it lol.

I was concerned about joining a "gym" as I am not the athletic type. I have found members and employees of VASA to be very respectful of my inadequacies. Everyone is very friendly and accepting of all the diverse body types and personalities. My favorite parts of VASA are the pool area and the hydro massage chairs. I haven't had a problem of getting in the pool. Even though there are times it is busier and I may have to share a lane, everyone is very accommodating.

Very crowded. Membership pricing is advertised without all of the fees. Power bars in the Olympic area can be bent or warped. Lots of equipment, lots of machines. Friendly to bodybuilders for sure. Powerlifters a little less so but they do allow chalk. Staff is perfectly friendly. Its a fine gym overall for a large commercial gym.

It has potential to be a very good gym, but there are things that they should keep up on, but they have not done a good job with it. For instance the movie projector. This thing has issues all the time. The sound doesn't work, or there's multiple movie sounds playing at once, or the picture isn't working, but the sound does. Not sure why it has these issues so often, but for me, that is the main reason I go to VASA is so I can do my cardio in front of that screen.Really I deserve to get some money back for these issues. Also the pool... It had too much chlorine in it a while back. It was terrible. I couldn't even finish my swimming. Another issue is, there's too many people in this gym, they take over all the machines. That's a huge waste of time. I want to get and there and get out. Nobody wants to wait. So I'm ready to stick with Planet fitness. I've been going both to planet fitness, and VASA. All I have to say is please keep up the projector, or else I will have no reason to continue going to VASA.
