I can't say enough good things about SoCal Powerlifting - management, coaches, and clients are all top notch. I've been coached by Shelby for 2 months now and I am writing this review just 4 days after my very first powerlifting meet. Prior to SoCal, I was an a cookie cutter online PL program for 6 months - I upped my strength, but my form was mediocre. After finding SoCal Powerlifting I decided to invest in myself and my goals and I am so grateful I made the jump! Having a coach actively provide feedback on my form was a game changer and allowed me to crush PRs and have a 9/9 first meet. I'm primarily remote, but when I do go into the gym everyone is SO helpful and encouraging. I love the SoCal Powerlifting family and I can't wait to see where I am a year from now!!

Awesome gym. I’ve been working out here for a month now and I haven’t had to wait to use any equipment. Parking is easy and never overcrowded. They have more than enough equipment for powerlifting and bodybuilding depending on your goals but it’s mostly free weights. Facility is clean and very easily accessible.Makes me realize how crowded and dirty commercial gyms can be.

This review is longggg overdue! I've been with SoCal Powerlifting for two years now (one year through their online coaching and one year in the gym) and I can't picture my life without it now.As someone who has never fit into any "fitness" atmosphere, I was very intimidated to start powerlifting and get a coach. I was causally lifting with my husband at the time at 24 hour fitness, but I knew I wanted more. And I'm SO happy I found the courage to reach out and hire a coach. My first year through online coaching was amazing (shoutout to coach Alex G.!). No matter who your coach is here, you're in amazing hands. They all are beyond helpful and great at what they do!After all the gym shut downs due to Covid, I decided to make the switch to in-person gym membership. Again, I was very intimidated to come into a gym where it seemed like everyone knew what they were doing and EVERYONE is so strong, like seriously. But yet again, it was one of the best decisions! The equipment at SoCal is a major game changer, there's SO many squat racks/platforms and everything is geared specifically for powerlifting. The community and the atmosphere is amazing and inspiring. I am happy to call this place my second home.I've even started nutrition coaching through SoCal (another shoutout to coach Kimmy!), and it has been beyond helpful! SoCal's memberships are designed to help you stay committed and succeed. And between the superior coaching, great equipment with constant upgrades, and amazing community, I really feel like I am getting my moneys worth. It really is a one stop shop for everything you need to reach your powerlifting goals - and have fun while you're doing it!If you're thinking of getting into powerlifting and you live in OC, this is your place!! You will never meet nicer people and a more welcoming environment. 10/10 recommend.

Great gym. Would highly recommend! I've been here during all hours of the day and never had to wait to use equipment. Facility is clean and parking is easy.Note that most of the equipment is free weights w/ some machines such as leg press and cables. If you are looking for powerlifting/strength training, definitely check it out.

I LOVE SoCal Powerlifting. Before coming here I was going to a generic gym and thought it was fine. But since coming to SoCal Powerlifting, I can say with confidence that normal generic big gyms have nothing on SoCal Powerlifting. At SCP you find a great community of people that are always willing to help, great equipment that seems/feels brand new, and great coaches that help you meet your goals. Every lift that I have been doing for the past six months on my own has gotten exponentially better and made more progress in the last 3 weeks at SCP then any progress made in the last 6 months. I cannot recommend this gym enough! If you are thinking about trying them out, definitely do so.

I have been a member to SoCal powerlifting since they launched back in Newport. Not only is it a great gym equipment wise and size, but the staff and community just create an atmosphere where the only outcome is for you to grow as an individual. Zack Bartell is a real leader that doesn’t just talk but follows through with his actions. Constantly talking to members and making them feel welcomed and getting feedback on what can be added to gym. If you are just starting out in the gym or seasoned athlete you can call SoCal Powerlifting your second home. Let’s get stronger together !!!

I’m really glad I found SoCal Powerlifting. It’s a great gym with great coaches and equipment. It has everything you need. It’s 24 hours which was the main reason I joined so, the programming with coaching was a plus. My coach is Juan. I did just begin my programming but I can tell he cares about my goals by the way he is putting it together. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking to getting or gaining strength with proper form.

SoCal Powerlifting is arguably one of the hidden gems of a gym in the whole Orange County area. The gym is equipped with all that you need to elevate your fitness goals. They also have an amazing and professional crew. In the span of just a few weeks from joining, I can happily report that there is no ego-lifting here, none of that. Instead, you will come to find that you will be surrounded by great people, a friendly community that looks out for you and only wants you to achieve your ver best. I have made a few friends and they make the gym a more welcoming place and workouts to be more encouraging and productive. Kudos to the crew and all of SoCal Powerlifitng.
