I'm really glad I found this place. The gym is clean and has plenty of equipment. You never have to wait for a squat rack, which was always the most stressful part of going to a gym for me. I also love their business model. You have a trainer that builds a program for you after a handful of personal trainer sessions. You then submit videos of your lifts for the trainer to give you feedback on. And you meet with the trainer at least once a month during a workout session. It's a lot more affordable than hiring a full-time personal trainer. But you still get the benefit of a professional guiding your training and correcting your form. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in improving their lifting abilities.

Without a doubt, one of the best powerlifting gyms out there. I can wholeheartedly say that this gym provides everything needed to progress within the sport. Plenty of high quality equipment, great community of supportive lifters who are always willing to offer a spot or words of encouragement. SoCal has managed to run this facility at a high level throughout a pandemic which left many other gyms struggling. A testament to their incredible competency and togetherness. Can’t say I have anything negative to say about this gym as I’ve trained here for almost a year and a half. Keep expanding and growing as one of the top powerlifting gyms around!

I've only been training at SoCal Powerlifting for a month now, but I've enjoyed every session! As a powerlifting newbie, I was quite intimidated with the thought of training beside all the experienced (and super strong!) members, however, Alex was very helpful and assured me that I would enjoy it, and he was right! He helped walk me through the different programs they offer, and gave me a tour of the gym as well. I signed up for the membership the same day, and have been a regular since. If you're looking for a new place to train, give SoCal Powerlifting a shot, it has all the equipment you could need (and more), and everyone is very helpful and friendly!

I have always wanted to try powerlifting but never felt comfortable. That all changed at SoCal Powerlifting. From our very first communication over Instagram I knew that these people and this place was different. It didn't take long for me to become a member and I feel very comfortable at SoCal Powerlifting. This gym is the real deal. They have every piece of equipment you need and plenty of racks so you don't have to wait to lift. Everyone is extremely nice and super welcoming. The atmosphere is supportive like a team or a family, and the staff is awesome. My coach Alex is amazing. He's knowledgeable and helpful but challenging and demanding as well. I feel like he has my best interests at heart and wants the best for me. When you're learning a new skill, that is an important feeling. The whole staff is awesome and the owner Zack is a top-notch individual.I'm just starting out but I am looking forward to getting stronger and stronger. I'm even looking at doing my first competition in the Fall. If you're looking for a place to train, look no further than SoCal Powerlifting.

I would say this is the greatest gym in the world but that's an understatement and its more than a gym. So Cal Powerlifting is an amazing community of great people. From the time I joined every employee and member has been kind and helpful in everyway. The equipment is perfect and they offer a nice drink and snack selection. They also use a very cool phone app to open the door 24/7 so you can always get a workout in. I can't recommend this gym enough for anyone looking to join a great gym and community!!!

I have been coming to this gym since it first opened in early 2018. I have been strength training since 2014 and competing in powerlifting since 2018. At the time, I was too financially strapped to buy into coaching, but would drop in about 4 times a month. By the next year, I was fully bought into coaching and coming to the gym regularly. In the time since I began training there, I have seen the gym expand from a skinny warehouse into now its third iteration with manyfold more space and equipment. The hundreds of clients are a testament to the high quality equipment, the highly personal coaching, and the strong sense of community. There is virtually every piece of powerlifting equipment you could consider, and plenty to go around for everyone even at peak hours; from Texas Deadlift Bars, to Ghost Combo Racks, you'd be hard pressed to find that something was missing; even if so, the management is generally very accommodating and has bought new equipment on request on multiple occasions. While most powerlifting gyms run limited hours, this one is open 24/7.The staff is always communicative and accommodating, and the coaching feels specialized, complete with in-depth virtual assessments for every training session and exercise selection tailored to my own experience level. For reference, I deadlift close to 700 pounds at ~205 bodyweight, so I am not an amateur by any means; that being said, even if you are relatively inexperienced, I have witnessed many of the clients newer to lifting blow my progress out of the water when compared to my own training history at their level.I have not once felt disrespected by the staff; in fact, I have grown to consider many of them as friends. Through my time here, I have met many members from many walks of life with various training goals, experience levels, and "clout", and have nearly always been pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, friendliness, and sense of belonging that people here always seem to cultivate. There are even out-of-gym events from time-to-time to encourage members to meet and connect.Zack, the owner, has been in this space for a long time, and his commitment and attention to overall quality stemming from his passion is evident in every aspect of the gym. He's always engaged in an active dialogue in the community and is always receptive and accommodating to our thoughts, comments, and needs. Also need to give a shoutout to my coach, Juan, who has a strong grasp on the matter and has really helped fast-track me (and seemingly all of his clients) towards my goals in unprecedented time! There aren't a lot of great gyms for general strength training and powerlifting. If you're looking for an oasis in a desert of shoddy commercial gyms with needless amenities, low quality equipment, and overcrowding, then I could not recommend this place enough. It's at least worth a drop in.

I have been a member for the last 5 months and recently competed at the Strongest in SoCal meet.I have had nothing but an amazing time at this gym and the coaching got me to a first place finish. Super professional and knowledgeable staff. The coaches are easy to work with and communicate extremely fast whenever you need something.Zack runs a tight ship and the companies values are on display with how the staff conducts themselves. Professionalism is the number one priority amongst the staff along with end user experience.Just like with anything you give it your all and you’ll receive the benefit of their knowledge.I also attended the most recent two day seminar at the gym. The staff expertly demonstrated their knowledge and dedication to the sport over the duration of the course.I look forward to seeing how the gym grows, solid group of individuals.

I'm not one to write reviews, but this place is awesome! Not only is the coaching spot on (Thanks Alex!) but the facility itself provides endless variations of lifts. I have been most surprised by the camaraderie of the members who are great to be around and supportive of each other regardless of how much you can lift. Though focused on the primary power lifts, I've found my other outside activities have benefited greatly. Thanks again for a great gym, great coaching and great membership!

This is a great place to gain a base in powerlifting. I have been weight training for over 30 years including conditioning training, Crossfit and Oly lifting, but never had any training in powerlifting techniques. Zack and Alex really know their stuff and what I learned from them helped me quickly increase my totals. I highly recommend that anyone come train with them to get a good lifting base. They can even help experienced lifters improve and work out any bad habits which may have been learned over the years.

SoCal is a great gym filled with people who are passionate about working out. Sebastian is a great trainer who clearly is very knowledgeable and passionate about lifting. The atmosphere in the gym is superb, every time I walk in I feel motivated to work out even harder.
