Unless you like training in an unclean environment and drama, find another place to go. Affiliation isn’t pulled for no reason.

This place is really great! The staff is careful in choosing who they keep on board, which I super appreciate. The place is clean and well taken care of.

When I trained here, for years, it was anything but clean. Not to mention staff was rude. I will not be coming back ever. They fired one of the best kids coaches, and also whispered about him for months on end. If anything they were disrespectful on his end as a staff member. I hope you take this in mind when you choose to go here instead of raw mma, Cxbjj, black heart, etc.Regards, the one and only, MacKynzie Bilbrey

When I was training here staff was unfriendly and unhelpful on my end. The place was infested with roaches as I’ve seen in the bag room. The bag room is also very filthy to the point you can see dirt on the ground. Mats aren’t cleaned after every class which is gross. They had their affiliation taken away, and not for any reason. They fired one of their best staff who did not have a bad attitude. If anyone has a bad attitude is Brad and Professor Shane. Staff make rumors and whisper about each other instead of asking about each others behavior like people should do. Each and every staff is rude to each other.Sincerely, Madyson Bilbrey

The super-friendly staff and wonderful coaches created a welcoming environment for my children. Very clean environment! Combat Club is a fantastic choice for those seeking a supportive and skillful martial arts community for their children.

Great place! My daughter trained here for a little while, but she decided it wasn't her thing. The staff was super friendly and very supportive through her short time there. We would 100% return if she changed her mind one day.

An awesome place to bring the family and professional environment. They are very honest, friendly, patient, and skilled coaches. You honestly can’t beat the prices either! They are the best in town! These classes were life changing and helped my step kids in their most challenging time! I am grateful! Thank you!

My daughter trained there for almost a year. The gym is incredibly dirty (literal dirt, cobwebs everywhere, roaches, and the mats do not get cleaned enough) but I overlooked it because I liked the instructors. Their affiliation was pulled in the last few months! No one pulls an affiliation for no reason. I do not recommend Combat Club at all, we were there for a year and won't go back. On a positive note, I will say that Coach Tanya, Coach Brandon, and Coach Jason (AND Coach Matt until they fired him for no legitimate reason) are great and they will be missed. But, there are plenty of gyms in the area, shop around and avoid this place!

They don’t care about you. All they want is your hard earned money. Doesn't matter if you even go there or not. If you sign their contract they’ll use you for your check. Just keep that in mind. Anywhere else I could just cancel the next month free of charge here I’m getting calls for $600 from debt collectors when I haven’t been in over a year and when I didn’t even go once during the time they’re calling me for and now I’m hurting for it.

I would be very cautious going to a gym where the affiliation was pulled, they recently just lost their affiliation with Brazil 021. This use to be a gym that I wouldrecommend to everyone but over timethey have lost quality instructors andreally only care about keeping thelowest of standards. If and when you have an issue the management will tellyou that it will be fixed just to notdoing anything about it. They have deleted negative reviews of themselves from Yelp in the past. They have a ongoing massive german cockroach problem for the last few years and when you bring it up to them they say they're handling it. Thecockroaches are crawling on the mat in the middle of the day during classes. I would heavily research other gyms in the area. This area has so many gyms popping up that actually care about their members and the quality of training they recieve.***The exact wording on the letter from the affiliation says"We regret to inform you that we've decided to terminate our partnershipwith Combat Club Jacksonville and all its staff, due to incompatibility ofwork and not following the standards of Brazil-021 School of Jiu-JitsuAssociation."
