I highly recommend the Women’s self defense class. Amir and his team of powerful ladies were outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel so comfortable. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend grabbing a friend or two (or go alone!) and attending their women’s self defense class, you never know when you will need those valuable skills. 10/10 recommend!

Amir and his team of ladies taught a really amazing Women’s self defense class to some coworkers and I! It was very thoughtfully done, considering EVERYONE’S past trauma and physical abilities. They were welcoming, kind, and great teachers. We learned great techniques and came away with so much confidence and knowledge.

I recently attended the Self Defense class with my co-workers. Lightening Kicks is a very welcoming place. The class was very very helpful and I left with knowledge of practical techniques that have empowered me to believe I can get out of a difficult situation if needed. All of the instructors gave helpful and encouraging tips as we practiced. I encourage women to sign up for this class, bring a friend and learn how to defend yourself!

LK is great! kids love it here. the Instructor are awesome. They provide a fun, friendly and at the same time disciplined class atmosphere.I love the way LK touches on many disciplines. My kids have been going for over 6 months, I tell that their confidence has gone up.I recommend Lk!

I came to a 6:00am class here while here in Kalamazoo on a trip. I did not have a Gi but the gave me one, the facility is clean, and the people were both knowledgeable and fun to train with. based on my experience I definitely recommend Lightning Kicks

I can’t speak highly enough of Amir and the family at Lightning Kicks. I was encouraged to check them out by a couple friends, both longtime students, one an amateur and the other a pro MMA fighter. Everyone has been so welcoming, kind, and helpful to my son and made him feel right at home. Amir and the instructors have an intuitive and practical approach to martial arts instruction, allowing for my son to walk away from every class with confidence and skills that are immediately applicable. Classes are affordable and offered nearly every day. I highly recommend Lightning Kicks to anyone looking to start martial arts or take their training to the next level.

I took the Women's Self Defense seminar and it was fantastic! The instructors are very good at explaining things and giving individual feedback. I honestly wasn't sure what I was walking into when I signed up, but these people made it a great and empowering experience! I loved that they were conscious of everyone coming from different life experiences and made it an intentional safe space.
