I took a Zumba class while I was visiting and I absolutely loved it! Laura was a great instructor. She made the class so much fun and did a great job of helping me w my moves. Even though most people in the class were better dancers than me, I didn’t feel out of place at all. This class is great for everybody! Thanks Laura!!

The aquatics features are among the best in northeast JoCo, second only to LifeTime Fitness. And the recent repaint of the indoor pool was done very well, taking the time to make sure the surface was completely dry and, afterward, the paint was properly cured before refilling the pool. Genesis at Ward Parkway should have followed this approach during their remodel a couple of years ago. They didn't and now have a pool with peeled and worn-off paint throughout.I like the bigger footprint of this facility, as well. It allows for equipment to be spaced apart more, a concern in these COVID times. I also appreciate the effort to keep the facility clean. My biggest suggestion involves the Group X room. More weights are needed. And anything to improve the acoustics would be appreciated, since the concrete ceiling is the chief culprit for this problem.

Great staff, very central location. Ryan Thompson was extremely helpful and took care of me and my wife. This location is not very busy either which is nice. The feel of this gym is incredibly personal and the staff takes time to get to know you and tailor a personal plan for you.

Equipment, cleanliness and location are great.Staff is lazy and unmotivated.I was using a 30lb weighted ball filled with sand today. While using it, I noticed that it had a hole in it. It was losing sand, creating a mess and causing it to lose weight.I took the ball to the front desk and brought the defect to the attention of staff. I asked Abigail (bigger girl, if that name is incorrect) if they had a piece of black tape to patch the hole. Without even looking, Abigail says no. I asked her is she could look and she says that something like that would be in the personal trainers' office and they do not have access to it.So, I went upstairs to the personal trainers' office, which was open, found some black tape and fixed it myself. 🤦‍♂️This is not the first experience I have had like this with staff here. They are absolutely useless.

After a recent move, my husband and I have been looking into options for health clubs in our area. We stopped by Genesis without an appointment, and we were short on time. However, Ryan Thompson was kind to give us a quick, efficient tour of the club. He went above and beyond in customer service by gifting us free guest passes and informing us of a membership offer that wasn't available online. Although we did not join the club, I appreciate that Ryan was respectful of our time constraint, and he made a great impression on us with his "people skills" by making a personal phone call the following day. Thanks for the friendly tour and great service, Ryan!

Wi-Fi is terrible! It makes me so frustrated! One day it’s fine next day it interrupts every single song 5 or more times. Today I did my entire work out listening to one 17 min YouTube. I was there for 45 mins! The other location Olathe had 5 machines that I normally would use out of order! Come on guys! It’s there a way to fix theses issues??

I talked to the manager, he saw my KC Strongman Games shirt and asked me about it. I'm a local Strongman and Powerlifting competitor, and told him about my upcoming comps. He was very courteous and communicative. They have a few pools here …

Genesis Health Clubs in North Overland Park is the standard of what a great gym can be. Locker rooms are always spotless, the gym itself is incredibly clean. The big thing is the staff, the trainers genuinely care about your goals and make the extra effort to help you succeed. I have been working with Reese and he has been professional and has pushed me to get correct form with every exercise I do! I love Genesis and highly recommend it!

They do not enforce social distancing at all. They just put up laminated signs, which people then just move and ignore. It is definitely over crowded. Especially the weights area upstairs. Often there aren't even towels for cleaning …

I have been to about 6 gyms in my life and Genesis is by far the nicest, biggest and honestly has the most equipment and amenities that I have ever been too. I chose the one off of Metcalf and they have an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna’s, …
